The opportunity

In this newly established role, the Senior Procurement Manager will provide leadership and direct management in developing & implementing procurement strategies with key business stakeholders in Australia and New Zealand. Working closely with our global category managers, the management of suppliers, inclusive of sourcing strategies, supplier negotiations, contracts & supplier management reviews will form a key part of the role.

How you’ll spend your day

• Develop and execute comprehensive procurement strategies to meet company objectives.

• Implement and maintain procurement systems and tools to streamline processes.

• Develop sourcing strategies & activities in alignment with global category strategies.

• Support contract negotiation & mitigate risk related to materials & services.

• Complete supplier management reviews and scorecards.

• Represent Procurement at a local level, working with stakeholders across our commercial and R&D teams.

• Prepare and present reports on supplier spend data, sourcing initiatives and targeted savings.

• Manage procurement budgets and ensure cost-effective spending.

Your experience and qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Procurement, Supply Chain Management, or a related field

• Minimum of 5 years of procurement experience, preferably in the pharmaceutical industry.

• Experience working in a global environment and supporting categories.

• Proven track record of successful procurement and cost-saving initiatives.

• Excellent negotiation, communication, and interpersonal skills.

• Ability to analyse complex data and develop strategic procurement plans.

• Proficiency in procurement software preferably SAP and Microsoft Office Suite.

• Strong knowledge of procurement best practices and industry regulations.

• Flexibility to work across different time zones.
