The Role

Our new Restaurant and Bar Manager will be a well-seasoned hospitality professional who possesses a demonstrated history in managing teams in both restaurant and bar environments. Reporting to the Assistant Director of Food and Beverage, you will be responsible for overseeing the day-to-day operations of both the Sailmaker and Lobby Lounge outlets. We expect to see active contributions to driving the business forward, with focus on maintaining high levels of guest satisfaction, development and retention of team members and maximizing profitability.

We nurture curiosity and roles at Hyatt will help you learn new skills that support your personal and professional development. The vision for this role holds the possibility of evolving into the capacity to oversee multiple venues as an Outlets Manager.

Responsibilities Include:

  • Ensuring the standards of service are followed, executed and align with the individual concept of each outlet

  • Monitor and receiving feedback and employing corrective actions to increase and maintain guest satisfaction scores

  • Coordinating cleaning schedules and enforcing strict standards surrounding HACCP

  • Liaising with the hotel’s sales and marketing teams to identify strategies to promote the outlets.

  • Forecasting outlet revenue for each month & quarterly outlook to meet revenue targets

  • Formulating and strictly adhering to the par stocks

  • Organising regulated and preventative maintenance measures

  • Adhering to the established operating expenses and ensuring all costs are controlled.

Our Ideal Candidate Will Possess

  • At least 1 year of experience in a similar role - in a large hotel operation is highly preferred

  • Demonstrated management experience in both Restaurant and Bar Operations

  • Strategic, proactive and resourceful approach for generating revenue

  • Proven leadership qualities and the ability to support and motivate the team

  • Strong organisational and time management skills

  • Solution focused, with the ability to effectively problem solve

  • Full Australian Working Rights

  • Availability across 7 days and willing to work a rotating roster

  • A current Responsible Service of Alcohol card
