As a Loading Dock Supervisor, you'll be responsible for ordering, receiving, storing, issuing, posting invoices, and accounting for hotel goods and services.

Key responsibilities:

  • Managing work, projects, policies, and standards for Purchasing across departments: generate and provide accurate and timely results in forms of reports or presentations, assure sanitation compliance, assist Executive Chef in all aspects of purchasing, orders all food and beverage based on business needs, maintains inventory, assists in maintaining lower budgeted food and control costs, checks invoice on goods received against shipment to ensure quantity, quality, weights, etc.

  • Demonstrate and apply accounting knowledge to purchasing operations: use of computer systems to enter data and process information, keeps up-to-date technically and applying new knowledge to the job.

  • Support of Purchasing Operations: utilizes interpersonal skills to lead, influence, and encourage others.

  • Maintain of finance and accounting goals: ensures profits and losses are documented accurately, achieves and exceeds goals such as performance goals, budget goals, team goals, etc. Monitors all taxes that apply, ensuring all taxes are current, collected and/or accrued.

  • Other responsibilities such as analyze information and evaluate results, interacts with kitchen staff, vendors and executive chef, attends and participates in all pertinent meetings.
