Sensata Technologies, Inc. Quality Qualification Technician in Swindon, United Kingdom

The Quality Qualification Technician is responsible for performing quality control activities, conducting tests and supporting the implementation of quality assurance measures. This role involves working collaboratively with cross-functional teams to ensure that products and/or processes meet the required quality standards and specifications. Quality Qualification Technician will conduct qualification tests on new products, collect and analyse data from quality control tests and maintain accurate documentation and records of quality control activities.

Qualifications / Experience

  • A basic electrical / mechanical understanding. GCSE Grade C or above in English Language and Maths.

  • Strong communication skills; oral, written and presentation

  • Strong organization, planning and time management skills to achieve results

  • Strong personal and professional ethical values and integrity

  • Holds self-accountable in achieving goals and standards

  • Proficient in Microsoft Office programs (Outlook, Word, PowerPoint, and Excel)

  • Strong interpersonal and collaboration skills to work effectively with all levels of the organization including suppliers and/or external customers

  • Experience in a similar role within the electronic industry would be an advantage. Training will be provided where necessary.

Role Spesific

  • Conduct qualification tests on new products, equipment or processes to validate their performance and adherence to quality requirements.

  • Collect and analyse data from quality control tests, inspections and audits to identify trends, deviations or non-conformities.

  • Maintain detailed records and documentation of inspection results, test data and other quality-related information. Prepare comprehensive reports summarising findings, trends and any non-conformance issues, and communicate them to relevant stakeholders.

  • Perform inspections and tests on incoming materials, components and finished products to ensure compliance with quality standards.

  • Conduct internal audits to assess compliance with quality management systems and procedures.

  • Identify areas for improvement and work with relevant stakeholders to implement corrective actions.

  • Calibrate and maintain testing equipment and instruments to ensure their accuracy and reliability. Troubleshoot any issues or malfunctions and coordinate repairs or replacements as necessary.

  • Collaborate with different departments, such as Production, Engineering and Supply Chain teams to address quality concerns, provide feedback and facilitate process improvements.

  • Stay updated on industry regulations, standards, and best practices related to quality control. Ensure compliance with applicable regulatory requirements and participate in audits and inspections conducted by external agencies.

  • Flexible willing to harmonise working hours with production operation’s needs.
