Full-Time Position QUALIFICATIONS:

Minimumageof18years Valid Texas Drivers License Bachelor's Degree in Early Childhood or related field Current First Aid/AED/CPR Certifications for infants and toddlers or willingness to obtain Knowledge of Head Start Performance Standards and Head Start Act requirements REPORTSTO:ISDBuilding Principal JOBGOAL: Support children's physical development following federal guidelines and local ESC Head Start policies by providing engaging motor activities to enhance motor skills and overall health.

MISSION STATEMENT

: Deliver high-quality motor programs promoting physical literacy, motor skill development, and overall well-being in children through collaboration with school districts and community partners.

RESPONSIBILITIES: I. PLANNING

Develop and implement structured motor activity schedules Organize motor skill development programs with clear objectives and strategies Customize activities to meet individual children's needs Collaborate with teachers, assistants, parents, and volunteers in planning Maintain compliance with Head Start standards and document child progress II. ENVIRONMENT Maintain a safe and organized motor lab environment Supervise children during motor activities and encourage positive behavior Address behavior issues promptly and promote independence Ensure safety compliance, and emergency readiness, and provide care when needed III. PARENT ENGAGEMENT Involve parents in motor activities and maintain positive relationships Collaborate with Family Service Workers to engage parents Encourage parental participation and seek input for program enhancement IV. COLLABORATION Delegate responsibilities effectively and support and assist other staff members Coordinate with ESC staff for program alignment and conduct child assessments Maintain documentation, and equipment, and ensure the safety and well-being of children V. CODEOFCONDUCT Promote respect, and individuality, and uphold confidentiality policies Provide continuous supervision and support VI. TRAINING Attend and complete all Head Start orientation and relevant and required content area training WORK ENVIRONMENT: Physical demands include standing, walking, and lifting Exposure to varying temperatures and use of tools and equipment
