Howmet Aerospace CI engineer in Suzhou, China

  • Responsible for organization, planning, implementation and follow-through of continuous improvement initiatives, designed to improve on-time delivery, productivity, quality and cost.

  • Coaching: to explain the concept and teach others to identify continuous improvement projects.

  • Problem Solving: to address root-causes through Kaizens & problem solving.

  • 5S: to implement, maintain, and improve 5S across the site.

  • TOC: Participate in daily TOC meeting, actively engage in solving problems with operators and leadership.

  • Lean Training: to provide training and other learning resources for lean principles waste elimination, time studies, etc.

  • Automation: Identify automation projects to perform tasks with reduced human assistance, such as repetitive tasks, dangerous tasks etc.

  • Promote CI in the plant wide with various activities: 5S, Gemba Walk, Blitz kaizens, Visual management, standardization, etc.

  • Adhere to all company policies and procedures and environmental health and safety rules.

  • Should check with EHS about the occupational hazard if any related with this position.

  • Position located in Suzhou.

  • Work requirements will include travel.

  • Complete the other work assigned by his/her managers.

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering or Technical field preferred, like Industrial Engineering, Mechanical Engineering

  • Background in manufacturing, Industrial/ Mechanical Engineering, were preferred.

  • 2 years’ experience in Lean manufacturing/ Industrial Engineering.

  • Good Oral and written English.

  • Good skill of Auto CAD, Office software, Training, Communication, Team work.

  • Good mindset on Basic Lean concept: 5S, TPM, OEE, SMED, Visual Control, Problem solving, Daily Management System, Project Management.

  • Computers, printing machine, and other standard office equipment.
