Job Advert – Delivery/Maintenance Porter
Northwest Veterinary Specialists are looking for a delivery/maintenance porter to join their team! This is a permanent part-time position working 25 hours per week to assist with our busy supplies/procurement department.
The role will require you to:
Assist with the signing in of deliveries and ensure that all deliveries are recorded, signed for and distributed to the correct departments or stores.
Complete any ad hoc maintenance requirements, such as, minor repairs, minor electrical and plumbing work.
Coordinate and send off any broken clinical equipment to the suppliers
Assist with the coordination of weekly contractors visiting to collect general waste, confidential waste for shredding, laundry collection/return,
Complete the weekly fire alarm, fire safety/exit checks, legionella safe and emergency lighting testing etc.
Assist with checks for medical gas supplies and changing cylinders when necessary.
Collection/drop of any urgent medical supplies to local Veterinary Hospital or local suppliers.
Requirements:
The nature of this role means that hours of duty may change in line with the needs of the business and flexibility is essential due to the changing nature of business.
Full driving licence is essential.
This role requires some heavy moving, lifting and handling.
Working shift pattern:
Monday – Friday 10am – 3pm.
