Job Title: Welder II
Job Description
Candidates will be required to use the correct jigs for welding products. This is a production shop where products change depending on the job. The role involves 40% quality control and 60% welding. The primary materials are mild steel, aluminum, and stainless steel. Fabrication tasks such as measuring and cutting metals are required. This is not a traditional welding role and involves welding displays, wire displays, and ensuring welds are aesthetic and functional without spatter.
Work Environment
Our work environment includes both AM and PM shifts, with a typical rotation of 1 month AM and 1 month PM. The morning schedule is Monday to Friday from 7:00 AM to 3:30 PM. The afternoon schedule is Monday to Thursday from 3:30 PM to 12:30 AM, and Friday from 3:30 PM to 7:30 PM. PPE is provided, but employees must have their welding helmets. The facility is spacious, well-lit, and open, with new welding booth bays and tools updated in 2022. The welding department has 6 welders and aims to bring on someone with leadership qualities to improve the culture and processes.
Responsibilities
Use correct jigs for welding products
Perform 40% quality control and 60% welding
Work with mild steel, aluminum, and stainless steel
Measure and cut metals for fabrication
Weld displays and wire displays
Ensure welds are aesthetic and functional with no weld spatter
Set up processes and quality control
Adapt to changing job requirements
Essential Skills
3+ years of welding experience
MIG welding
Fabrication experience with grinders, benders, punch press, and shear
Ability to read blueprints
Ability to set up jigs for welder
Ability to measure accurately
Adaptable and able to think through and execute tasks
Additional Skills & Qualifications
CWB certification
Journeyman/Red Seal
Any welding ticket
Experience in a similar industry (Plastics/Metal)
First Aid Ticket

Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $34.68 - $36.07/hr.
