We are seeking a Strategic Operations Manager, who will be driving planning, operationalization and prioritization across Marcom, focusing on new lines of business, strategic initiatives, capability building and change management.

Description

The Strategic Operations Manager will focus on operationalizing Marcom’s goals and strategy, driving planning and prioritization across the organization. The day-to-day responsibilities will include: Partnering with business leads to drive operational and financial planning, ensuring that cross-functional plans are aligned to the agreed strategic priorities. Operationalizing major organization-wide strategic initiatives, new categories and/or lines-of-business, by determining and quantifying the level of effort, resources, budget and new organizational capabilities required in order to bring these initiatives to life. Defining the actionable steps needed to execute Marcom’s business plan in the most efficient way possible. Informing and reinforcing strategic decisions and goals through business analytics; identification, measurement and interpretation of operational performance indicators. Capability building: Foreseeing and identifying the future capabilities Marcom will require in order to realize its strategic goals and priorities. Informing and making decisions on investments into these capabilities, while maintaining operational excellence in our current capabilities and ways of working. New business structure and processes: Inform Business Operations, Finance, international (Geo) Operations teams of potential new budget management, reporting and tracking requirements of future/upcoming categories and initiatives. Determine security requirements and disclosure levels of new categories, LOBs and strategic initiatives. Work with relevant teams to implement the right security setup and manage disclosures for these initiatives.

Minimum Qualifications

  • 10 years of operational management experience in marketing or related field.

  • Experience with driving planning and prioritization across a large matrix organization.

  • Financial acumen; experience managing budgets, along with an ability to maintain and apply a strong understanding of financial management principles to ensure decisions are fiscally sound and effective.

  • Exceptional communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to influence, build consensus, drive collaboration and alignment across a broad, cross-functional set of stakeholders.

  • Multiple years of operational management experience within a creative agency and/or global marketing organization.

  • Proven track record of operationalizing new lines of business and organization-wide initiatives to inform strategic prioritization, investment, organizational and capability building decisions.

  • Excellent analytical skills; comfortable extracting and analyzing data to make inferences on strategic direction and operational effectiveness.

  • Deep expertise in using and deploying marketing planning and workflow management tools.

  • Excellent organizational skills, paired with the flexibility to manage multiple priorities and projects simultaneously.

  • Experience with conducting value-stream mapping periodically across the organization, in order to identify redundancies, duplications of effort, bottlenecks and obstacles against fully optimized workflows and processes.

  • Experience leading change, ensuring different perspectives are heard and incorporated into solutions.

  • A Bachelor's degree is preferred. Advanced certification or degree in business administration, operations management, project management or related field is a plus.

  • At Apple, base pay is one part of our total compensation package and is determined within a range. This provides the opportunity to progress as you grow and develop within a role. The base pay range for this role is between $175,500 and $263,800, and your base pay will depend on your skills, qualifications, experience, and location.Apple employees also have the opportunity to become an Apple shareholder through participation in Apple’s discretionary employee stock programs.
