Northrop Grumman's Chief Information and Digital Office (CIDO) is seeking an innovative and dynamic Sr. Principal Information Systems Program Manager to support the Mission Systems sector's Marine Systems Business Unit. This position is based in Sunnyvale, CA, and requires the selected candidate to work on-site, full-time, at our Sunnyvale campus.

We are seeking an innovative leader to join our team and lead our technology initiatives; the ideal candidate will have a strong background in cybersecurity, government contracting, and IT support. Your primary objective will be to deliver timely, cost-effective, and innovative IT\Digital solutions across all facets of the Marine Systems business. In the role as the IT Manager, you will be the crucial link between the Chief Information and Digital Office (CIDO) and senior management of Marine Systems. You will ensure alignment between CIDO services and business requirements, driving innovative solutions with the technical teams that optimize strategies and support Marine Systems business objectives. Your leadership will be essential in areas such as strategy development, proposal development, and the acquisition and delivery of CIDO products and services.

Primary responsibilities will include:

  • Aligning CIDO imperatives with business unit goals.

  • Actively collaborating with the business unit program office and strategy team to develop IT and cybersecurity components of proposals.

  • Ensure contractual compliance with relevant IT and cybersecurity standards and regulations.

  • Responsively addressing day-to-day information services support needs.

  • Managing budget and costs and collaborating with CIDO Value Streams and CIDO peers to effectively allocate resources and achieve key mission priorities.

  • Empowering and mentoring team members to excel within a culture reflecting Northrop Grumman's values of integrity, quality, shared success, and innovation.

Basic Qualifications:

  • Associate's degree with 10 years of relevant experience, or a Bachelor’s degree with 8 years of relevant experience, or a Master’s degree with 6 years of relevant experience, preferably in Information Technology, Information Security, and/or Information Assurance delivery and support; a High School diploma or equivalent with 12 years of relevant experience may be considered in lieu of a completed degree.

  • Hands-on experience with developing proposals and project statements of work.

  • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.

  • Ability to translate complex technical concepts for non-technical stakeholders.

  • Must have the ability to provide strategic direction regarding our CIDO value streams, processes, applications, and technology.

  • Proven experience managing projects, budgets, and schedules.

  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

  • Must be able to obtain and maintain a DoD Secret security clearance as a condition of continued employment.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Active DoD Secret (or higher) security clearance.

  • Experience managing IT environments in compliance with NIST SP 800-171Rev. 3 and NIST SP 800-53.

  • Familiarity with Defense Federal Acquisitions Supplement (DFARS) and US DoD cybersecurity requirements.

  • Knowledge of OPNAVINST N9210.3 and its IT-related provisions.

  • Collaboration skills, particularly within a matrix organizational structure.

  • Project Management Professional (PMP) or equivalent certification.

Salary Range: $137,400 - $206,000

The above salary range represents a general guideline; however, Northrop Grumman considers a number of factors when determining base salary offers such as the scope and responsibilities of the position and the candidate's experience, education, skills and current market conditions.

Depending on the position, employees may be eligible for overtime, shift differential, and a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay. Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in company results. Employees in Vice President or Director positions may be eligible for Long Term Incentives. In addition, Northrop Grumman provides a variety of benefits including health insurance coverage, life and disability insurance, savings plan, Company paid holidays and paid time off (PTO) for vacation and/or personal business.
