Google Senior Staff Software Engineer, Infrastructure, Google Cloud Graph Databases in Sunnyvale, California

Minimum qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience.

  • 8 years of experience in software development, and with data structures/algorithms.

  • 7 years of experience building and developing scaled infrastructure, distributed systems or networks, or experience with compute technologies, storage, or hardware architecture.

  • 5 years of experience with design and architecture; and testing/launching software products.

Preferred qualifications:

  • Master’s degree or PhD in Engineering, Computer Science, or a related technical field or equivalent practical experience.

  • 5 years of experience in a technical leadership role leading project teams and setting technical direction.

  • Experience building graph neural networks, and graph algorithm libraries.

  • 3 years of experience working in a complex, matrixed organization involving cross-functional, or cross-business projects.

  • Experience with database query language design (SQL, Graph Query Language(GQL), openCypher).

In this role, You will not only write code across the entire database stack but also play a key role in shaping our product vision and driving its success. you will drive the ownership, and also work on complex technical challenges.

The US base salary range for this full-time position is $237,000-$337,000 + bonus + equity + benefits. Our salary ranges are determined by role, level, and location. The range displayed on each job posting reflects the minimum and maximum target salaries for the position across all US locations. Within the range, individual pay is determined by work location and additional factors, including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training.   • Graph and relational query language design, optimization and execution.

  • Build predictive Graph AI/ML and graph algorithms.

  • Innovate in the space of generative Artificial intelligence(AI) and knowledge graphs.

  • Write user guides, references, and blog posts to facilitate product adoption.

  • Oversee project execution, making sure they are worked on time with quality.
