Sodexo is seeking a full-time Pediatric/NICU Dietitian for Summerville Medical Center in Summerville, SC . Summerville Medical Center has invested in growing the hospital’s women’s and pediatric care so that families can receive high quality care close to home. In recent years Summerville Medical Center has opened a new women’s and neonatal tower that includes 30 postpartum private rooms, 12 labor and delivery rooms, a 16-bed Level II Special Care Nursery, and more.

The successful candidate will:
provide nutritional care for pediatric, PICU and NICU inpatients;
develop policies and procedures for new NICU department;
perform quality improvement initiatives such as patient satisfaction rounds and monthly test trays;
educate healthcare team members, including physicians and nurses; and
precept dietetic interns.

Registered Dietitian credentials and be licensed in SC;
pediatrics experience required, NICU experience preferred;
strong verbal and written communication skills;
good time management skills be a self-starter and a team player; and
the ability to work well with physicians, nursing and ancillary staff.

Qualifications & Requirements
Basic Education Requirement - Bachelor's degree with completion of required coursework and supervised practice as dictated by the Accreditation Council for Education in Nutrition and Dietetics (ACEND)(Note:For those seeking registration after 2023, a master’s degree will be required)
Basic Functional Experience - 3 years experienced practitioner able to work with minimal supervision
Credentials Requirement:
Registered Dietitian Nutritionist (RD/RDN) by the Commission on Dietetic Registration (CDR)
Certification/licensure as required by state(s) of practice
Specialty credential in area(s) of focused practice, as applicable, or advanced practice certification (RD-AP/RDN-AP)
