ABM Industries Director, Talent Acquisition Process Optimization in Sugar Land, Texas

Overview

ABM is hiring a Talent Acquisition Director, Process Optimization to be responsible for process reengineering. This person will lead the continuous improvement of the TA processes, systems, and tools to improve recruitment performances, ensure compliance and quality assurance. They will partner with corporate functions such as legal, compliance, and policies to ensure compliance with recruitment practices.

This is a Hybrid Work Arrangement (in-office on Tue/Wed/Thu) and can sit at an of our ABM offices located in Sugar Land (TX), Tempe (AZ), Chicago (IL), NYC (NY), or Atlanta (GA )!

Essential Functions

  • Evaluate and monitor KPIs and metrics to identify processes changes/enhancements to optimize recruitment and HR processes and develop standardize processes.

  • Lead the continuous improvement of the TA processes, systems, and tools to improve recruitment performances, ensure compliance and quality assurance.

  • Audit TA recruitment processes and system procedures to identify any areas of opportunity for continuous improvement and/or training gaps.

  • Works with Training Specialists on changes/enhancements to documentation, toolkits, checklists, etc., and training needs.

  • Partners with VP of TA, ABM Continuous Improvement and/or Change Management to maintain and update project plans for process improvement initiatives and TA projects identifying operational risks and issues relating to service delivery and support resolutions, escalating risks/issues.

  • Accountable to ensure process documentation, process maps, workflow diagrams, standard operating procedures (SOP), etc. is maintained in designated repository (Zavanta).

  • Create and maintain TA process maps and workflow diagrams for all recruitment processes and tools.

  • Continuously review and update standard operating procedures (SOP).

  • Partner with Sr. Reporting Analyst to design and develop and implement a quality assurance program to ensure flawless execution of recruitment and HR processes and procedures.

  • Manages recruitment and HR change request process and approvals, responsible to provide clear and concise requirements for processes ad system enhancements.

  • Provides guidance to the TA subject matter experts (SME) to review change requests, perform testing and training documentation of system and process changes.

  • Provide troubleshooting support, and issue escalation to TA team and stakeholders.

  • Partners with Sr. Reporting Analyst on auditing and reporting needs.

  • Partner with Corporate business functions (i.e. Legal, Safety Services, Distribution Services, Compliance Department, etc.) as needed to understand regulatory and compliance requirements for pre-employment activities to mitigate risk to ABM business units.

  • Track and monitors training completed and provide timely updates to leadership.

  • Perform other related duties and responsibilities as assigned or required.

  • Optimizes the use of technology, tools, and subject matter experts (SME) to audit TA processes and procedures, and identify recommendations to drive greater consistency, standardization and compliance.

  • Maintain a thorough understanding of TA processes and recruitment systems to ensure alignment with current recruitment processes and represent Talent Acquisition as a Subject Matter Expert (SME) in projects across the enterprise.

  • Leads and responsible to complete testing for all new technology implementations, quarterly upgrades, system change requests, enhancements, and compliance requirements.

Qualifications – Education & Experience

Education:

  • Bachelor’s degree and/or equivalent related work experience.

Experience:

  • 5 years of related experience including 2 years of training experience in developing, documenting, and presenting training materials and 2 years with process improvement.

  • Experience with applicant tracking systems, such as Oracle Recruiting Cloud (ORC) highly preferred.

  • Talent Acquisition or recruiting experience preferred.

  • Comprehensive knowledge of federal, state, and local employment laws.

  • Broad and deep knowledge of equal employment and affirmative action laws and guidelines, related to compliance as well as current trends and best practices.

  • Understanding of recruitment processes and systems.

  • Experience working with HR data and reports, including analyzing applicant data.

Professional Skills:

  • Proficient in Microsoft Office and various applications with advanced proficiency in Microsoft PowerPoint, Excel, Visio, Word, Outlook, Teams, OneNote, and survey tools such as Survey Monkey.

  • Must possess excellent and effective written and verbal communication skills, as well as public speaking capabilities.

  • Demonstrated ability to motivate, engage and maintain an audience with interesting and exciting presentation techniques for small to medium size training classes.

  • Demonstrated ability to adapt the training style and material to fit the needs of all various learning styles among class participants.

  • Strong people skills and highly collaborative with the ability to build collaborative relationships.

  • Ability to interact effectively with associates at all levels and able to effectively influence others and achieve positive results.

  • Takes full ownership of assigned projects and can work independently with a high sense of urgency.

  • Proactive approach in resolving problems and issues, involving the right people to work through complexities and identify potential solutions.

  • Excellent organizational, planning and coordination skills with the ability to multi-task and re-prioritize as needed.

  • Possess a high standard of ethics and confidentiality to manage sensitive information.

Certifications and/or Technical Requirements:

  • Working knowledge of Human Resource and Talent Acqusisition best practices.

  • Knowledge of Affirmative Action Plan (AAP) guidelines.

  • Knowledge of Office of Federal Contract Compliance Programs (OFCCP) and audits.

  • Working knowledge of applicant tracking systems (ATS) and recruitement software and systems.

  • Knowledge of quality tools and practices.

  • Advanced computer proficiency with MicroSoft Office tools, such as Word, PowerPoint, Excel, Visio and Access.

Pay: $130,000–$160,000

The pay listed is the salary range for this position. Any specific offer will vary based on the successful applicant’s education, experience, skills, abilities, geographic location, and alignment with market data.
