Job Description

The Food Service Director oversees the entire food service operation, ensuring seamless execution of daily tasks and long-term goals.

  • Budgeting weekly kitchen expenses to optimize resource allocation.

  • Solving resident complaints in a timely and professional manner.

  • Following all food safety regulations to ensure a safe environment for residents and staff.

  • Scheduling staff and covering shifts to ensure continuous operation.

  • Hiring and training new employees to enhance team performance.

  • Setting and achieving long-term goals for the kitchen, driving growth and improvement.

  • Ensuring the highest quality food is served to residents.

  • Developing menus that cater to resident preferences and dietary needs.

    Requirements:

  • Food Service Manager Certification

  • ServSafe Certified

  • High School Diploma or GED equivalent as minimum requirement

  • Bachelor's degree or culinary degree preferred

  • Ability to multitask, juggling multiple responsibilities simultaneously

  • Effective forecasting of supplies to meet kitchen demands

  • Proven budget management skills

  • Exceptional interpersonal skills for effective communication with staff and residents

  • Ability to provide constructive criticism to employees for growth and development

  • Expertise in creating and enforcing restaurant policies to maintain a safe and efficient work environment

  • Demonstrated leadership abilities to inspire and motivate staff
