Job Description
The Food Service Director oversees the entire food service operation, ensuring seamless execution of daily tasks and long-term goals.
Budgeting weekly kitchen expenses to optimize resource allocation.
Solving resident complaints in a timely and professional manner.
Following all food safety regulations to ensure a safe environment for residents and staff.
Scheduling staff and covering shifts to ensure continuous operation.
Hiring and training new employees to enhance team performance.
Setting and achieving long-term goals for the kitchen, driving growth and improvement.
Ensuring the highest quality food is served to residents.
Developing menus that cater to resident preferences and dietary needs.
Requirements:
Food Service Manager Certification
ServSafe Certified
High School Diploma or GED equivalent as minimum requirement
Bachelor's degree or culinary degree preferred
Ability to multitask, juggling multiple responsibilities simultaneously
Effective forecasting of supplies to meet kitchen demands
Proven budget management skills
Exceptional interpersonal skills for effective communication with staff and residents
Ability to provide constructive criticism to employees for growth and development
Expertise in creating and enforcing restaurant policies to maintain a safe and efficient work environment
Demonstrated leadership abilities to inspire and motivate staff
