JOB REQUIREMENTS: Position Title: Accounting Clerk Location of Position: United States -- Wisconsin -- Sturgeon Bay Business Group: Fincantieri Bay Shipbuilding Department: Accounting Position Type: Full-Time; Permanent; Non-Exempt, First Shift Position Summary: This position is responsible for supporting the accounting and related record keeping in a fast-paced, 1000+ person maritime manufacturing and construction facility in Sturgeon Bay, WI. This includes, but is not limited to, performing any combination of routine calculating, posting, and verifying duties to obtain primary financial data for use in maintaining accounting and related records. Detailed Description: Daily bank reporting Transactional / balance reporting Research exceptions Accounts payable invoice entry in ERP system Balance payable amounts to general ledger Exception research regarding invoice amounts, quantities, and job numbers Research job numbers to ensure proper location of charges Periodic review of material charge-out, to include equipment logs, consumables, steel, and other commodities Research proper pricing for no codes or non-inventoried parts Daily post office runs, including the separation of invoice and distribution of mail to appropriate office personnel Conduct payable runs / check payments Manage payables by working with purchasing and finance to determine payables based on current aged payables Print checks in line with cash forecast Posting to ERP, excel, ledger, etc. Create journal entries to be entered by accountants based on material charge-outs for the month Track and update energy usage (gas, water, heat, electrical, etc.) General filing and relating administrative duties Review expense reports / identify appropriate job codes Support inventory counting process, including working with various department heads to schedule and perform physical inventory counts on a periodic basis Assist with cash forecasting, with potential to manage Review material and job charging Ad hoc review of costing activity and job charging within the ERP system Ability and willingness to engage in highly energetic pursuits on the waterfront Abide by and enforce all organizational policies and procedures Company Overview: Fincantieri Bay Shipbuilding (FBS) is located in Sturgeon Bay, Wisconsin.
