Country Commercial Leader - General Manager

We are looking for a Commercial Leader to join us to lead and develop our highly engaged UK Commercial team. You will lead the UK team that includes sales, marketing, quality/regulations, customer services and financial planning/analyses. You will report into our Vice President UK, US and Nordics and direct all aspects of the healthcare operation in order to achieve targeted sales and profit objectives. This is a key role where you will lead and develop the implementation and execution of healthcare sales strategies to ensure focus on activities for long term growth and profitability.

What are we looking for?

An extraordinary leader with a strong ability to motivate, drive change and focus the high team engagement. You will need to be structured with a quick mind and be able to prioritize a demanding workload. Strong written and verbal communication and presentation skills will be key in this role. Building relationship with different stakeholders and negotiating at senior levels will both excite and come natural to you.

Key Responsibilities

This is an exciting role, filled with both interesting and challenging responsibilities, outlined as:

  • Accountable for the profitability of Wellspect UK by achieving revenue and profit targets, and driving market share.

  • Accountable for ensuring the compliance and delivery of the organization’s sales policies, objectives and initiatives.

  • Directs the sales process in varied selling situations with both dealers and end-users,

  • Accountable for coaching, managing, and mentoring the UK Management team, setting direction and monitoring performance in line with the organization’s strategic priorities

  • Provide consistent performance feedback and coaching to direct reports to assist in employee/career development and create a talent pool to ensure the delivery of an organizational succession plan which meets the company strategic objectives.

  • Analyze market trends to develop and execute business plans that capitalize on current and future opportunities.

  • Actively participate in commercial leadership meetings.

Profile Requested

We are looking forward to meeting you whose profile matches these requirements:

  • Educated to MBA or equivalent degree in related field is desirable.

  • Relevant years of strategic commercial experience, ideally within healthcare sector (NHS).

  • Successful management of sales and operational personnel at a senior level.

  • Proven financial and budget management experience.

  • Able to interpret and analyse business information to refine specific product and activity focus to achieve KPI targets on a monthly/cycle basis.

  • Ability to challenge and provide strategic guidance Strong communication and change management experience with the ability to build resilient teams for the long-term.

  • Robust problem solving and decision-making abilities.

  • Demonstrates positive leadership behaviours in terms of personal and company values and standards.

  • The role will involve travelling throughout UK, combined with some international travelling.
