MATSYS, Inc. is seeking a Quality Engineer to join its team of high-performing scientists, engineers, and technicians at its Sterling, VA facility. The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring product quality standards are met throughout the manufacturing process, driving continuous improvement initiatives, and collaborating across departments to resolve quality issues. This role is vital to maintaining customer satisfaction and compliance with regulatory standards. Description

Quality Assurance and Control

Develop, implement, and monitor quality standards and inspection processes.

Conduct root cause analyses for non-conformance issues and recommend corrective and preventive actions.

Ensure adherence to ISO 9001, ASTM, and other applicable quality standards.

Perform audits of processes, systems, and suppliers to ensure compliance.

Continuous Improvement

Lead quality improvement projects using Lean, Six Sigma, or other methodologies.

Analyze production data to identify trends and areas for improvement.

Drive initiatives to reduce waste, defects, and inefficiencies.

Partner with production, engineering, and supply chain teams to address quality issues and enhance processes.

Provide training on quality standards and best practices to production staff.

Documentation and Reporting

Maintain accurate records of quality tests, audits, and inspection results.

Prepare reports for management on quality metrics, compliance, and improvement initiatives.

Ensure all quality-related documentation is up-to-date and accessible for audits.
