The position

By joining our team in Exploration & Production Norway you will have the opportunity to:

  • Contribute to safe and efficient design and implementation of modifications within automation projects and equipment.

  • Contribute to visualize, maintain, and increase the technical integrity for automation services.

  • Contribute to safety in design and operations for new assets.

  • Provide technical support in the event of extended production disruption.

  • Proactively support assets in production optimization.

  • Represent the automation/instrument discipline in project follow-up and execution.

You will be part of Equinor’s Automation team in EPN Global Operations Technology, a team consisting of 160 engineers with diverse backgrounds and experiences. The position offers a great opportunity to develop your own competence within an area in rapid and continuous development, and actively participate in improvement initiatives to enable Equinor’s ambition to further realize opportunities within digitalization.

  • Bachelors or Master's degree within Control Engineering, Automation, Instrumentation or similar. Relevant experience may compensate for formal qualifications.

  • Between 3-10 years of relevant experience is preferred.

  • Experience fromsome of the followingareas:

  • Field Instrumentation

  • Safety Automation Systems

  • Safety Instrumented Systems

  • Process Control System

  • Emergency Shutdown System

  • Process Shutdown System

  • Fire & Gas System

  • Turbine / Compressor Control Systems (incl. SAS integration)

  • Operator interface (HMI) incl. large screen

  • Simulator (SAS / Simulator tools)

  • Advanced Process Control

  • OT/IT infrastructure (networks, firewalls, servers, etc.)

  • Hands-on experience with ABB, Kongsberg Maritime, Siemens, Honeywell or Emerson-delivered SAS systems

  • Good knowledge of requirements within the Automation discipline.

  • Good written and oral communication skills, both in English and Norwegian.

  • Flexible, structured and works well within a team.
