Job Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Environmental Services Aide (PRN) to join our team. This role is critical in maintaining a clean, comfortable, and welcoming environment for our residents. The ideal candidate will have strong attention to detail, excellent interpersonal skills, and a commitment to creating a positive living space.
Key Responsibilities
Perform comprehensive cleaning of resident rooms, common areas, and public spaces
Conduct daily and periodic cleaning tasks, including:
Changing linens
Cleaning and disinfecting bathrooms
Sweeping, mopping, and buffing floors
Dusting and sanitizing surfaces
Empty trashcans
Interact positively with residents during cleaning tasks
Report maintenance issues or resident concerns to management
Maintain high standards of infection control and sanitation
Manage cleaning supplies and equipment
Requirements
High school diploma or equivalent
Two to three years experience in a housekeeping role, preferably in a hospital or healthcare setting
Knowledge of and proficiency in the practices and procedures of environmental services required
Ability to operate equipment common with environmental service; must be familiar with the use of detergents, germicides, strippers, and other cleaning/chemical supplies. Able to troubleshoot equipment malfunctions
Leadership and organizational skills, with the ability to multitask and prioritize assignments effectively
Good communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to provide clear instructions and feedback to team members
Ability to read, write, and follow direct written and oral instructions
Basic computer and math skills for record-keeping and inventory management
Willingness to perform routine, repetitive tasks with frequent interruptions
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to train, and provide clear instructions and feedback to team members
Ability to work effectively with minimal supervision
