Attention recent college graduate in accounting major with 1+ year of experience in accounting!

We are on the hunt for a meticulous Staff Accountant in the real estate and property industry located in Greenwich, Connecticut. The role entails ensuring financial information accuracy through reconciling accounts, preparing journal entries, and maintaining the general ledger.

Responsibilities:

• Engage in processing and recording of accounts payable and accounts receivable transactions

• Conduct regular bank reconciliations to ensure financial information accuracy

• Manage the general ledger and execute month-end close procedures

• Assist in the preparation of financial reports on a regular basis

• Maintain and update accounting records and files

• Analyze budgets and create expense reports

• Examine tax policies and handle tax payments and returns

• Meet with clients to discuss confidential accounting issues

• Participate in audit processes as required.

Requirements

• Must have at least 1 year of experience in a Staff Accountant role or similar

• Proficiency in Accounts Payable (AP) and Accounts Receivable (AR)

• Experience in conducting Bank Reconciliations

• Familiarity with General Ledger management

• Ability to prepare and review Journal Entries

• Experience with Month End Close procedures

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field is preferred

• Strong analytical skills and attention to detail

• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills

• Ability to work independently and as part of a team

• Must be legally authorized to work in the country, any form of visa sponsorship will not be provided

• Must be able to pass a pre-employment screening process.
