Job Description Summary

Join us as a Manufacturing Team Member in this varied and interesting opportunity and be a part of a multi-disciplined team with a wealth of experience. You will manufacture Electro-Mechanical products to meet production plans, ensuring Assembly, Inspection and Test is carried out using Lean methodology. Experience in Testing would be a significant plus as it lies at the heart of responsibilities in this role.

To safeguard that we meet high standards expected by the customer, you will be working to specifications and instructions, using the correct tools, methods, and equipment. If are a practical, manual worker with a good sense of coordination, who is comfortable working with machinery, tools, and equipment, and has a strong work ethic, this might be the role for you.

Job Description

Main duties and responsibilities:

  • Carry out Inspection and testing of electronic sub-assemblies in accordance with test procedures and the Company standards.

  • Record pass and fail results of tested products onto the Company database.

  • Carry out the operation of Automatic Test Equipment including any manual intervention as required by the test specification.

  • Carry out basic fault finding on failed sub-assemblies.

  • Repair and replace faulty components as necessary or record failure reason and pass to QA.

  • Department for further investigation.

  • Proficient use of soldering and de-soldering equipment, electronic meters and any other equipment required during the testing of products.

  • Liaise with production personnel, team leaders and Engineers as necessary to carry out testing and to resolve issues.

  • Explain and demonstrate testing procedures to other team members.

Qualifications:

Educated to O.N.C. level minimum in the discipline of Electronic / Electrical Engineering,

Skills:

  • Good Timekeeping and attendance

  • Able to work 2 shift rotations.

  • Ability to work in a fast-paced high technology production environment.

  • Ability to work as a member of a team and assist in the smooth running of the department to meet required output.

  • Ability to investigate production faults.

  • Excellent workmanship and attention to detail

  • Self-disciplined and able to work with the minimum of supervision.

  • Good communication skills.

Experience:

Previous experience of using electronic test equipment in a manufacturing environment, preferred but not essential as full training is given.
