Jabil Shipping Coordinator - 1st Shift in St. Petersburg/Tampa, Florida

As an entry-level Shipping Coordinator , you’ll play a vital role in ensuring the efficient movement of materials within our manufacturing facility. Your responsibilities will include coordinating shipments, labeling products, and assisting with loading and unloading. If you’re organized, detail-oriented, and eager to learn, this position is a great starting point for your logistics career.

Based onsite at our Bryan Dairy, Seminole, FL location. 1st Shift is approximately 7a -3p Monday through Friday.

What can you expect to do?

  • Coordinating Shipments:

  • Schedule and track shipments to meet delivery deadlines.

  • Prepare shipping documents, including bills of lading and packing lists.

  • Communicate with carriers and freight companies to arrange pickups and deliveries.

  • Labeling and Packaging:

  • Ensure proper labeling of products for accurate identification.

  • Package items securely to prevent damage during transit.

  • Follow safety guidelines when handling hazardous materials.

  • Loading and Unloading:

  • Assist in loading and unloading trucks, containers, and pallets.

  • Use forklifts or other equipment to move materials safely.

  • Verify quantities and inspect items for any defects.

  • Quality Control:

  • Inspect outgoing shipments for quality and completeness.

  • Address any issues promptly, such as damaged goods or missing items.

  • Ensure compliance with company standards.

  • Documentation and Record-Keeping:

  • Complete shipping paperwork accurately.

  • Keep records of shipments, tracking numbers, and delivery confirmations.

  • File documents appropriately for easy retrieval.

  • Safety and Compliance:

  • Follow safety protocols during all shipping and handling activities.

  • Use personal protective equipment (PPE) as required.

  • Report any safety concerns to your supervisor.

What is the experience needed to be successful in this role?

  • High School Diploma or Equivalent required.

  • 2+ years of experience in shipping and/or warehousing.

  • Attention to Detail: Accuracy in labeling, documentation, and inventory management.

  • Team Player: Willingness to collaborate with colleagues and follow instructions.

  • Basic Computer Skills: Familiarity with shipping software is a plus.
