Fairview Health Services Nutrition Services Aide in St Paul, Minnesota

Overview

M Health Fairview is looking for a Nutrition Services Aide at our Fairview Community Health and Wellness Hub location, in St. Paul, MN. This position is 21 hours bi-weekly , evening shift (with every other weekend dedication). The pay for this position starts at $20.01 an hr .

Utilizing a computer for data entry/communication, and assembling and disassembling patient trays in a safe manner. Serves customers, delivers and retrieves patient trays along with other duties as assigned in the nutrition areas. Entering data into a computer and supervising other employees.

Nutrition services staff directly influence the patient, guest, and staff experience by preparing and serving the food that sustains everyone through their healing or their work. There is phenomenal opportunity to engage directly with patients and staff, and an opportunity to work together on a team of engaged employees. There are day, evening, and night shifts available where there are casual positions with no guaranteed hours all the way up to full-time hours.

Location : Fairview Community Health and Wellness Hub, located in St Paul, MN

Hours : 21 hours bi-weekly

Week 1:

Monday 4:00PM-7:30PM

Tuesday 4:00PM-7:30PM

Saturday 4:00PM-7:30PM

Sunday 4:00PM-7:30PM

Week 2:

Tuesday 4:00Pm-7:30PM

Friday 4:00Pm-7:30PM

Responsibilities Job Description

  • Enter data and use computer for daily tasks/communication

  • Prepares and portions food appropriately for designated area.

  • Delivers patient meal trays while adhering to HIPAA policy.

  • Plates and serves food.

  • Handles and stores food in a safe manner following HACCP standard operating procedures.

  • Sanitizes equipment and work area per assigned schedules and designated procedures.

  • Wash and sanitize dishes and utensils.

  • Serves customers in cafeterias, doctor’s dining rooms and other non-patient locations.

  • Demonstrates ability to provide care or service, adjusting approaches to reflect developmental level and cultural differences of population served.

Qualifications

Requirements:

  • Ability to communicate clearly, verbally and in writing, using the English language.

  • Basic math skills

Preferred:

  • Computer literate with Microsoft office and other software

Preferred Education:

  • High school diploma/G.E.D

Desired Skills:

  • Excellent customer service and communication

  • Proficient in the English language
