Position: Graduate International Admissions Counselor Location: St. Paul, MN Job Id: 370311A # of Openings: 1 CSP Global Graduate International Admissions Counselor Position Overview: The International Admissions Counselor for CSP Global is responsible for coordinating efforts to increase international student enrollment at CSP. Responsibilities include supporting international students throughout the admissions process and through file management. This role will include evaluating international transcripts and documents based on CSP Admissions standards. This role will be the primary liaison for prospective students and help manage relationships with partners both domestically and internationally. This position will promote and enhance recruitment efforts by performing market research, identifying trends and developing and refining marketing materials. This position will work collaboratively within the Office of Admissions as well as International Student Services. This position includes engaging with campus partnerships as well as other lead generating ventures with the goal of diversifying and growing the international student population. This position will participate in orientations for new international students. Essential Duties: Represent CSP as primary contact for incoming international students and partners. Assist recruitment activities and initiatives. Meet annual student enrollment targets. Coordinate between other departments on campus to ensure the admission of international student is accurate and complete. Manage student files and make admissions decisions based on admissions policies and procedure. Conduct academic credential evaluations for incoming applications. Oversees enrollment and scheduling for all international driven cohorts and courses. Engage in relationship marketing with prospective students and other influencers. Respond to communication (letters, phone, email) in a timely manner. Maintain proficiency in and use of university database systems (Banner, SLATE, and reporting databases), Microsoft Office, GoogleDocs, and other programs as necessary. Education & Experience: Bachelor's Degree: Preferred Master's Degree: Preferred Computer Proficiency: Required Experience demonstrating effective communication and interpersonal skills Previous experience that demonstrates goal and results oriented approach to work Minimum of two years experience recruiting and advising international students Ability to read and evaluate foreign transcripts SEVIS training or familiarity Competencies: Strong written and oral communication Ability to build successful relationships with partners, staff and students Detail oriented Self-management, making effective judgements, ability to be flexible and effectively plan and organize work to achieve required results and perform tasks and projects independently. Candidate will take initiative in meeting international strategic enrollment goals.
