Center for Energy and Environment Field Supervisor in St. Paul, Minnesota

Description The Home Energy Squad Field Supervisor requires an experienced worker with ability to be cross trained in both the Technician/Auditor and Counselor/Crew Leader roles. The ideal candidate would be able to work Monday and Thursday evenings. They must possess a proven track record of home assessment and product installation as outlined in the standard protocols. The Field Supervisor must also be able to lead, motivate, and manage direct reports in the field and the office. Responsibilities: Field Work (approximately 60%) Perform HES visits as either Counselor/Crew Leader or Technician/Auditor as required by schedule Install all HES products with quality and efficiency. Inspect Insulation levels, perform blower door test, IR image scan, and combustion safety diagnostics. Walk homeowners through the process and direct them to appropriate rebate, financing and incentive programs. Deliver insulation quote as part of most visits and communicate with homeowner about importance of insulation air sealing work. Review and send completed Energy Fitness Plan with customers while in their residence. Accurately enter all required information into program software. Ensure homeowner understanding and education needs are being met . Train Counselors, Auditors, and Workforce Development interns in the field during HES visits . Re-stock vans and manage daily inventory as required . Management/Office (approximately 40%) Manage up to 8 direct reports Conduct performance reviews annually while meeting individually at least monthly with all direct reports. Responsible for training staff and program adherence. Shadow direct reports in field as needed. Assist Field Operations Manager in interviewing and selecting new employees. Have or obtain an excellent working knowledge of CEEtrack and relative programs. Direct and manage long term projects as needed for direct reports based on schedule. Facilitate and lead classroom trainings for field staff. Coordinate with Field Operations Manager to manage PTO and staff scheduling. Coordinate with other Field Supervisors to ensure consistent application of standards and procedures across all HES employees. Attend supervisor meetings with Field Operations Manager as scheduled. Conduct team meetings as required with direct reports. Manage additional duties and areas of expertise as assigned by Field Operations Manager Warehouse, Fleet, Inventory, Product review, Tools, Tech equipment, Literature, etc. Keep Field Operations Manager updated on all assigned work and crew status. Work towards HES's DEI goals. Serve as a primary contact for staff in addressing and resolving HES related incident calls. Commitment to completing HES related service calls in a timely manner. Other duties as assigned or apparent. Organization Support Assistance with other duties and tasks as assigned. Qualifications/Job Requirements: Bachelor's degree or equivalent field experience in related field Ability to portray HES in a positive light with clients both in person and by phone Proven ability to organize and manage workload Ability to perform all standard HES crew member functions in a timely manner Ability to multi-task and work independently Effective communication skills, both written and verbal Possess (or in pr cess of possessing) BPI certification Possess and maintain a valid drivers' license and good driving record Must be able to lift 40 pounds and work in tight spaces such as attics and crawlspaces Essential Functions: Develop and maintain a professional office environment and appearance (factors include: cleanliness, attire, positive attitude). Routinely use standard office equipment such as computers, phones, photocopiers, filing cabinets and fax machines. Routinely use (or able to learn) building science diagnostic equipment such as blower doors, duct blasters, combustion analyzers, infrared cameras, and hand tools. Work both independently and as a team. Requires ability to stand; walk; sit; use hands to finger, handle, or feel objects, tools or controls; reach with hands and arms; climb stairs and ladders; balance; crawl, stoop, kneel and talk or hear. The employee must occasionally lift or move up to 40 pounds. Work will include occasional travel to Greater Minnesota, including over-night stays. Primary working hours must occur with the Home Energy Squad Schedule, which includes working Monday and Thursday evenings. This will include nights or weekends depending on assignment.
