Tree Trust Employment Success Coach in St. Paul, Minnesota

The Employment Success Coach is responsible for facilitating employment readiness training and assessments, support services, and case management for Tree Trust Career Pathways participants (Branches / YouthBuild / Other programs as directed.) Essential Functions: Employment Readiness Training (ERT) Facilitate training classes including career discovery, resume development, job search, mock interviewing, and other employment readiness training. Pursue continuing research and education in recruitment and employment practices such as current practices in writing a resume, job search, job application, and interview skills. Support Services Facilitate resource and speaker list that includes financial literacy / food insecurity / transportation / affordable housing / health, dental, and vision services. Case Management Provide ongoing support, assistance and motivation to participants and staff. Maintain best practices to complete required documentation and progress reporting. Maintain a caseload that will serve 50 participants and not exceed 50. Attend bi-weekly case management meetings with participants to develop, plan, and track progress towards goals regarding high school / GED, obtaining stable employment, and/or entering higher education or advanced training program. Follow up with absent participants. Maintain relationships with outside agencies that serve as advocates and resources for young adults. Assist Graduate Program Manager with participant employment placements / advance training opportunities. Participant Recruitment and Orientation Assist Community Outreach Coordinator with participant recruitment events. Review applications and interview applicants. Complete internal hiring paperwork and data entry. Participant Service Requirements Act as a role model for participants with all types of employment barriers, including participants with varied ability including Autism, ADHD, Down Syndrome, Fetal Alcohol Syndrome, trauma, experience with the criminal justice system and substance abuse issues, and from underserved areas or living with low income. Model a strong work ethic, positive attitude, and commitment to quality. Provide deliberate and effective feedback to participants to foster continuous development within an employment training setting. Set appropriate boundaries with participants, staying focused on program mission and goals. Respond to challenging situations with composure and good judgement, modeling professional employment behaviors.
