Medical Assistant
We are seeking a dedicated and professional Medical Assistant to join our team. In this role, you will play a crucial part in patient care by rooming patients, obtaining vital signs, and managing medical documentation.
Responsibilities
Rooming the patient (90% of the time)
Conducting urine dip tests
Obtaining vital signs
Entering data into EPIC
Handling in-basket messages in a timely manner
Greeting and chaperoning patients during their visit
Maintaining medical documentation
Scheduling care, treatment, and diagnostic tests per the physician's instructions
Essential Skills
Certified Medical Assistant (CMA), Registered Medical Assistant (RMA), or Certified Clinical Medical Assistant (CCMA) certification
Certification must be from AAMA, AMT, or NHA with a proctored exam
Proficiency with EPIC
Basic Life Support (BLS) certification preferred from the American Red Cross or American Heart Association
Additional Skills & Qualifications
Strong communication and interpersonal skills
Ability to manage multiple tasks efficiently
Attention to detail in maintaining medical documentation
Experience in patient care and scheduling diagnostic tests
Work Environment
You will work Monday to Friday from 8:30 AM to 5:00 PM or 8:00 AM to 4:30 PM, with no weekend or overnight shifts. The work environment includes 11 divisions and 70 providers that rotate through. Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $18.00 - $23.00/hr.
