Responsibilities

Job Duties:

  • Support unplanned, critical, emerging needs stemming from the Strategic Workstreams.

  • Ability to revive troubled projects and get them back on track.

  • Manage and Improve the processes needed to support unplanned and critical projects and/or work efforts.

  • Operates at a strategic level in collaboration with Ascension senior leaders providing oversight and governance to ensure AT projects delivery against their expected outcomes of scope, schedule, cost and quality.

  • Manage multiple projects, ensuring resources and organization structure are in place and operating effectively; and anticipating conflicting needs and proactively resolving them.

  • Uses program and project metrics to assess progress and drive project implementation.

  • Manages issues and risks that impact progress. Drives process improvements based on lessons learned and root cause analysis.

  • Manages the project prioritization process including ongoing assessment of the process and scoring and making improvements to meet evolving business needs.

  • Provides reporting to drive visibility and awareness.

  • Self-motivated and ability to work both independently and as part of the team.

  • Organized with attention to details, able to work simultaneously on different tasks.

  • Good interpersonal, facilitation and presentation skills.

  • Strong leadership, critical thinking and analysis skills.

  • Data-centric – quantitative, analytical skills and PC proficiency.

  • Understands the business needs, drivers and direction and adapts and evolves the strategy to meet those requirements.

Required Experience:

  • Management of Key Strategic Projects for 4+ years

  • Budget Oversight and Management

  • Manages to Project Priorities; Performs Risk Management.

  • Promotes Good Working Relationships.

  • Communicates Project Status Upward and to the Customer

  • Enforces Effective Change Control (technical and project)

  • Strong Communication Skills, both written and verbal

Additional Requirements:

  • Project management degree/diploma/certification would be an advantage

  • 7+ years in Program/ Project Management / Project Management Office functions

  • 5 years relevant Technical and business experience

Requirements

Education:

  • High School diploma equivalency with 2 years of cumulative experience OR Associate's degree/Bachelor's degree with 1 year of experience OR 5 years of applicable cumulative job specific experience required. 2 years of leadership or management experience preferred

Additional Preferences

Preferred Experience:

  • CAPM and/or PMP Certification

  • 10+ years Project management experience

  • Managed Service Provider and Vendor Management Experience

  • Cybersecurity and/or Infrastructure experience
