General Summary(What is done and why)
The Commercial Loan Operations Manager is responsible for overseeing the administration and development of the Commercial Operations Department. Responsible for providing guidance to staff; training and development of staff, recommends modifications to the post closing and servicing procedures, quality control, and member expectations.
Essential Functions, in Priority Order (Majority of duties, but not meant to be all inclusive or prevent other duties from being assigned as necessary)
Responsible for the processing, closing and funding of all commercial loans. Manage the process of the commercial loan operations with a focus on quality, training and workflow efficiencies. Perform effective coaching, cross training, performance evaluation and recognition of staff. Create a positive, effective work environment conducive of open communications and collaborative problem-solving. Develop, maintain, publish and educate departmental staff on service level agreements. Implement continuous improvement practices that result in operational efficienciesTime30%
Maintain proper controls to ensure that Commercial Operations is documenting each loan in accordance with the approval and regulations. Continually work on improving overall efficiencies in terms of processing cycle time.Time 20%
Manage and make recommendations to improve the effectiveness of systems, workflow processes, and reporting in support of commercial lending. Systems include but are not limited to: Baker Hill, nCino, Velocity, Laser Pro, DNA, and Temenos.Time: 20%
Work with Analytics to create measurable processing reports. Monitor individual and group loan processing production.Time: 15 %
Performs related duties as directed by Vice President of Loan Operations in partnership with the Commercial Credit and Commercial Sales Teams.Time: 5%
Qualifications
Education(Minimum education required to perform the duties of this position)
Bachelor’s degree in related field or two years of related work experience required.
Experience(Minimum experience required to perform the duties of this position)
In additionto the education requirement:
Three or more years of experience in commercial loan processing
One or more years managerial experience preferred.
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities(Minimum technical and communication skill levels and licenses/certificates normally required to perform the duties of this position)
Excellent knowledge of commercial loan products
Excellent knowledge of commercial loan documentation
Excellent knowledge of the commercial real estate industry
Ability to manage multiple tasks with a professional and positive attitude.
Understanding of systems and workflows to effective document and fund commercial loans

Physical Demands(Physical effort generally associated with this position)
Work involves standing and walking for brief periods of time, but most work is done from a seated position. There is potential for eyestrain from reading the computer screen. Deadlines, workloads and pressure to achieve goals may cause increased stress levels.
Working Conditions(Typical working conditions associated with this type of work and environmental hazards, if any, that may be encountered in performing the duties of this position)
Internal - Work is normally performed in climate-controlled office environment, where exposure to conditions of extreme heat/cold, poor ventilation, fumes and gases is very limited. Noise level is moderate and includes sounds of normal office equipment (computers, telephones, etc). No known environmental hazards are encountered in normal performance of duties. Length of day is unpredictable; long hours may be required to accommodate deadlines or special meetings.
