The job in a nutshell :
This is a Critical role in PS Business planning & operation team.
Mission: Build a 4-quarter business planning engine and create/execute a proactive 'HP Play to Win' strategy to (over)achieve budget & company strategy objectives
Key Expected Outcomes :
Enable & direct proactive impactful business discussions/decisions (investments, choice points) to achieve mid-term market share and financial goals
Ensure alignment between planning & execution : Assess mid-term risks and opportunities to achieve company's company goals
Develop a granular & executable 4Q rolling plans by category, market, key countries, and strategic initiatives
Standardize the 4Q planning method and templates across all category organizations
Monitor execution and make timely adjustments as needed
Detailed Responsibilities:
Develop business plan & analytics for mid term execution of our business :
4Q Rolling (monthly - TBC)
Game Plan (quarterly)
Quota (bi-annually)
Budget (annual)
Main contributions & areas of expertise :
Build plans / recommendations for his division(s) & managing product & country mix to achieve company goals.
Drive discussions with division leaders, markets & top management.
Bring choicepoints, manage help needed closure on 4Q plans & drive close the gap activities with each market
4Q Business performance reporting & management
Cycle over cycle analysis & responsible track execution to the plans agreed
WW and Market level Sizing, Units, Rev - Alignment with MAP and drive deep dive market analysis.
Strong dotted line with Division Cat Lead, CBM & 4P - Sitting in Division staff.
Strong alignment with Cat Demand Planning, finance teams, alliance, SC, marketing teams.
Direct support of Division Workshop/MORs - on 4Q topics.
Special project support / lead.
Knowledge and Skills
Strong knowledge of commercial compute business
Excellent analytical thinking, technical analysis, and data manipulation skills.
Demonstrated knowledge of research methodology and the ability to manage complex data requests.
Ability to learn and draw on new analytical techniques to develop creative approaches to business analysis.
Extensive knowledge of Excel, PPT, statistical analysis, and financial modeling.
Strong business acumen and technical knowledge within area of responsibility.
Business / customer oriented and game changer. The candidate should be very accountable, autonomous, and consider he is managing his scope by taking the most appropriate decision as if it was his own company
Very strong verbal and written communication skills.

Other Responsibilities:
Develops go-forward business plan recommendations based on potential risks and returns.
Manages complex data and business analyses to develop business plans and make recommendations. Works closely with business leaders to develop business plans based on historical and forecasted data and reports.
Defines the metrics required to measure business performance, compares actual data to forecasted values, and develops the process for identifying and addressing performance gaps.
Identifies cutting-edge analytical tools, models, and methods for making key business decisions.
Manages complex, time- sensitive market research projects and synthesizes data and information to identify relevant trends and next steps.
Expert of business dynamics on his scope to set goals and drive business / strategy recommendation and implementation: Deep understanding and analysis of key market dynamics (shipment evolution, MS evolution by segment, TAM, demand, ST, competition and technology dynamics targets,... ) to help set and drive appropriate goals / strategies (quota, alloc, goals,... ).
Works with cross-functional teams across the entire span of business planning activities at WW level and across the world.
Education and Experience Required
- Typically 10-15 years experience in category, sales, strategy, planning, operations, finance, or related functional area
Management level definitions
Applies developed subject matter knowledge to manage business planning within established guidelines and recommends appropriate ambitions. Works on problems of diverse complexity and scope. May act as a team or project leader providing direction to team activities and facilitates information validation and team decision making process. Exercises independent judgment within generally defined policies and practices to identify and select a solution. Ability to handle most unique situations.
The base pay range for this role is $136,050 - $210,750 annually with additional opportunities for pay in the form of bonus and/or equity (applies to US candidates only). Pay varies by work location, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience.
