Avista Utilities Pipeline Services Program Administrator in Spokane, Washington

Job DescriptionPrimary responsibility is accountability for the day-to-day administration of natural gas safety-focused inspection programs for Avista's Gas Programs group. The different Gas Programs include Leak Survey (LS), Atmospheric Corrosion (AC) Inspection, Pipeline Marker (PLM) Inspection, Cross Bore Inspection, and Isolated Steel Inspection. Responsibilities may include providing periodic cross-coverage assistance to other Program Administrators. Program Administrators work closely with the Manager of Gas Programs, local Gas Operations, and external contractors to ensure all programs are kept on schedule and meet all necessary performance, quality (QAQC), and compliance requirements.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or G.E.D. is required.

  • Associates Degree or Bachelor's Degree is a plus.

  • Three years of experience in related field (Leak Survey, Atmospheric Corrosion, Line Marking, Cathodic Protection, and/or Sewer Cross Bore).

  • Computer literacy required. Proficiency in Avista-specific software such as Maximo along with Microsoft (MS) 360 Applications (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and the ability to learn ArcGIS, Avista Facilities Manager (AFM), and Survey 123.

  • Understanding of methane gas, leak characteristics, corrosion, cathodic protection and cross-bore safety is preferred.

  • Project Management experience preferred.

  • Ability to complete Operator Qualification (OQ) training specific to each program. May use specialized knowledge and instruments to inspect/diagnose gas pipeline systems and assist Operations personnel.

  • Ability to build and maintain professional relationships with internal stakeholders, contractors, and customers.

  • Ability to present and provide training, and guidance to other employees as needed.

  • Must have a Valid Driver’s License and active vehicle insurance.
