Description

We are offering an opportunity for a Software Developer to join our team based in Spartanburg, South Carolina. This position involves working with an agile team to deliver high value, high quality software and offers a contract to hire employment opportunity.

Responsibilities:

• Collaborate with an agile team to develop enhancements to our existing software based on evolving business requirements.

• Conduct comprehensive code reviews and testing of other developers' contributions.

• Provide support and maintenance across multiple platforms.

• Assist in architecting new software solutions and implement them with minimal oversight.

• Be available for occasional off-hours support.

• Work on other duties as assigned by the ERP Manager or Director of Software Development.

• Utilize skills in IBM - RPG, IBM iSeries, and MySQL in software development and enhancement.

• Manage customer credit applications and maintain accurate customer credit records.

• Monitor customer credit accounts and take appropriate action to collect delinquent payments.

Requirements • Proficiency in IBM - RPG, IBM iSeries, and MySQL is essential for this role.

• A proven track record as a Software Developer in the Wholesale Distribution - Dur Goods industry is desirable.

• Demonstrable experience in designing, coding, testing, and debugging software.

• Strong knowledge of modern software development methodologies, tools, and processes.

• Ability to work in a team environment, collaborating with different stakeholders.

• Excellent problem-solving skills, with an ability to manage complex technical issues.

• Strong communication skills, both written and verbal, to effectively relay technical concepts.

• A willingness to stay updated with the latest industry trends and advancements.

• A Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field is preferred.

• Ability to handle multiple tasks, prioritize them, and execute them in a high-pressure environment.

• Previous experience with software development lifecycle (SDLC) processes.
