Eaton’s Mobility Group, Power Connections business is currently seeking a Supply Chain Co-Op to join our team.

The hourly rate for this position is $21.81 per hour.

Position Overview:

Eaton’s Power Connection business has a cooperative employment opportunity for students pursuing a degree in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or engineering.

The objective of this program is to develop your technical and analytical skills in Supply Chain Management, through a practical experience, and assist in your personal development of leadership competencies through training, networking and coaching.  During the program you will provide services to support the Supply Chain operations and Key Projects development of our dynamic and exciting Eaton Power Connections business through an assignment as Supply Chain & Functional Excellence Co-op.

In this co-op program your assignment may include:

• Supporting the Supply Chain organization in developing the Supply Chain and Material Management Basis (process, system, tools) according to Mobility´s group expectation on Supply Chain and Materials functional excellence.

• Align and optimize strategies to meet Plant and Divisional metric measurement goals, such as Cost Out, Price Increase mitigation, Program Milestones attainment, on time delivery, Inventory Profile, ABC/XYZ classification, Excess & Obsolete Process, days on hand, etc.

• Plan, negotiate and purchase raw materials, services and manufactured parts for assigned vendors ensuring customer demand is met.

• Maintain accurate and updated records, such as purchase orders, quotations, correspondence, supplier management, etc.

• Manage and communicate demand requirements with manufacturing and supplier, considering capabilities/capacities to ensure completion of customer requirements.

• Analyze data and prepare reports as needed to facilitate and recommend actions to ensure optimal supply chain execution.

• Detect critical needs and advise buyers, planners, plant, supervisors, and quality as needed.

• Communicate plans, status, and results to senior managers and leadership.

• Collect and analyze replenishment data and implement process improvements that advance operating efficiencies.

All co-op assignments may have additional responsibilities as assigned.

Our co-op program provides you with great exposure to Eaton Mobility Group Supply Chain and would prepare you for a potential opportunity to join a Supply Chain or operations role within Eaton upon graduation.

Qualifications:

Required (Basic) Qualifications:

• Actively enrolled in a bachelor’s degree program in business administration, Supply Chain Management or engineering at an accredited institution

• Must have a combined GPA of 2.5 or higher (please do not round)

• Legally authorized to work in the United States without company sponsorship on a continual permanent basis.

• Must complete his/her bachelor’s degree in 2025 at the latest.

• Strong proficiency in Microsoft Office specifically Excel

• Relocation is not provided for this role, the candidate must be located within 50 miles of Southfield, MI.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Experience in automotive industry

• Experience with Supply Chain

• Experience in Continuous Improvement projects

• Proficiency in Power BI is a plus.

Skills:

Position Criteria:

• Actively enrolled in a Bachelor of Business Administration, Supply Chain Management or Engineering from an accredited institution.

• Supply Chain and/or Business knowledge and experience Thorough knowledge of planning and scheduling (directs materials replenishment process).

• Desired knowledge of manufacturing and production, forecasting, inventory management and supplier relationship and negotiations.

• Must leverage good communication, analytical and PC skills with the ability to problem solve quickly and effectively.

• Self-motivated and possessing a drive for results
