WILSON AND COMPANY INC Resident Engineer in SOUTH JORDAN, Utah

Wilson & Company, Inc., Engineers & Architects is currently seeking an experienced full-time Construction Engineer willing to work in the Salt Lake County and the surrounding area. The ideal candidate will work under the supervision of, and is directly responsible to, the Construction Administration Manager. The Construction Engineer is responsible for oversight of all aspects of project Construction Administration including supervision and mentoring of project field staff (Construction Inspectors, Field Engineers, and Office Engineers.)  Additional duties include preparation of Contractor's Pay Estimates, field inspection and observation, oversight of materials testing subconsultants, documentation and tracking of project budget, schedule, quality, and other duties as directed by the Manager. The ideal candidate must have a good understanding and knowledge of work required by the contract. This position requires client interaction and coordination for all jobsite activities.

 

Required Skills

  • Must have excellent knowledge of transportation construction and materials.

``` - Ability to stand and walk outside on uneven terrain for sustained periods of time. - Highly responsible and dependable. - Strong written and oral communication skills. - Self-starter with positive attitude and an impeccable work ethic. - Working knowledge of Microsoft Office programs, primarily Outlook, Word and Excel and UDOT Masterworks required. - Skilled in review of construction documentation to provide construction administration and inspection for multiple agencies including local, state, and federal. - Travel to construction projects in Weber, Davis, Morgan, Salt Lake, Toole, and Utah counties. - Willing to work 10-hour days and/or night work as needed.

Required Experience

  • BS in Civil, Construction Engineering, or related field.
  • Minimum of 5 years of construction engineering management.
  • Licensed PE in State of Utah.
  • Experience in local, state, and federal regulations that pertain to the construction administration of multi-discipline engineering projects.
  • Experience in managing project pursuits, preparing proposals, and working with marketing staff.
  • Ability to attract and recruit high-end talent to Wilson & Company with the ability to retain, develop, and promote.
  • Must have valid Utah Driver's License and a safe driving record.

Annual Salary Range: $90,000 --- $150,000, based on experience and qualifications
