Job Description: 

DevOps Engineer positions offered by Cotiviti Inc. (South Jordan, UT). Provide support for Research and Development (R&D) initiatives. Automate the build-test-deploy lifecycle for applications within the R&D group on Kubernetes/Openshift, AWS EKS, and RedHat Linux environments, both on premises and in the cloud. Work collaboratively with the Development, IT Operations, and Quality Assurance Teams to implement software configuration management best practices to accelerate and optimize delivery methodologies. Maintain the tools and processes for a large, enterprise level system in a fast-paced, agile, service-oriented environment. Work with team members to manage and administer enterprise-wide development tools. Automate build, packaging, testing, and deployment processes using tools and/or scripts. Exercise responsibility for continuous integration and continuous deployment (CI/CD) for multiple initiatives across all products. Develop, publish, and execute test plans and other functional documents. Work with production release team to identify and implement methodology for highly flexible and responsive releases (weekly, biweekly, monthly, and bi-monthly). Automate end-to-end build processes, patching and production product deployments. Structure and maintain the software configuration management to build very secure and high availability systems. Scale infrastructure to meet rapidly increasing demand. Monitor site stability and performance and troubleshoot site issues.

Minimum Requirements: 

Requires a bachelor's or foreign equivalent degree in Computer Science, Management Information Science, Electrical Engineering, Mathematics, or a related field and 2 years of experience in the position offered or 2 years of experience performing DevOps. Also requires 2 years of experience: scripting using Jenkins groovy, Python, and shell. Requires 1 year of experience: managing Kubernetes EC2 clusters and deploying containers for AWS EKS; networking, process, and memory management using Linux OS; managing Kubernetes namespaces and deploying containers for OpenShift; administering enterprise-class Unix based systems; developing automated systems using Terraform; managing and administering enterprise-wide development tools, including Bitbucket/Git, Jenkins, Nexus, Veracode, and SonarQube; deploying software using Helm charts; and developing using Git. Requires 6 months of experience: creating and deploying docker containers; automating build, packaging, testing, and deployment process using tools and scripts for Maven, Java, Scala, and NodeJS; using Chef recipes and cookbooks; configuring and deploying applications on JBoss EAP application server; and using Oracle, MySQL, Postgres, or MongoBD. Position reports to office in South Jordan, UT, but may telecommute from anywhere in the U.S. Experience may be, but need not be, acquired concurrently.
