Furniture Restoration Technician - MUST have experience!

What's in it for you :

• Location: South Gate, CA

• Payrate: $19/hour

• Schedule: Monday - Friday 6:00 am - 2:30 pm

• Weekly Pay (Fridays)

What do you bring:

• Must have knowledge in the examination of furniture to determine the extent of damage or deterioration, and to decide on the best method for repair or restoration.

• Must have experience using hand held tools, glues, sealants, paints, oils, stains, and polishes.

• Must have experience in filling and smoothing cracks or depressions in furniture, remove marks and imperfections, and repair broken parts, using plastic or wood putty, glue, nails, and/or screws.

• Experience MUST reflect on your resume to be considered.

What will you be doing :

• Clean and repair furniture with the aim of restoring or maintaining functionality and much of its original look.

• Examines furnishings to determine type of material, extent of deterioration or damages.

• Glues or replaces veneer sections.

• Smooths surfaces, using power sander or abrasive.

• Selects coatings, such as stain, lacquer, or varnish according to type wood.

• Brushes or sprays material onto surface to protect surface and produce desired appearance.
