Behind the Design Industrial Seamstress in South Boston, Massachusetts

We’re looking for experienced textile Fabrication professionals for a standout South Boston fabrication company with over 30 years of success in the textile/window treatment niche. Our business is focused on quality, collaboration, and exemplary customer service. If you’re looking to add quality to a thriving small business while collaborating with our wonderful project managers, this one’s for you!

Schedule: 8-4pm, M-F onsite at our South Boston workroom.

Compensation: $24-25/hour. 

Benefits:

  • PTO: 10 days/year. Accrual based in year 1.

  • Sick days : 5/year.

    A Day in the Life of our Fabricators:

  • Interface with Project Managers on each fabrication and its level of detail. 

  • Fabricate different projects ranging from soft window coverings, bedding, upholstered furniture, cushions, and accessories

  • Facilitate any troubleshooting on problem jobs 

  • Ensure the quality and accuracy of all projects

  • Oversee details and ensure projects are to specifications

  • Collaborate with Project Managers to ensure that each project is complete according to deadline. 

  • Maintain a clean and organized work area

    Qualified Fabricator Applicants Have:

  • 2+ years experience in the window covering industry, drapery manufacturing, or related experience that relies heavily on measuring and fabrics

  • Impeccable eye for measuring fabric and ability to complete order specifications 

  • Experience using industrial machinery and fabrication equipment

  • Clear and professional communication skills

  • Ability to stand and sit for long periods of time 

  • Ability to lift up to 30 lbs.

  • Ability to stand for 80% of the day while working on projects.
