Job Summary
The Jr. IT Engineer Intern willgain hands-on experience in cloud or network environments, supporting the deployment and maintenance of cloud infrastructure on platforms like AWS and Azure. This internshipprovidesa comprehensive opportunity to develop technical skills and gain insights into real-world IT operations in a supportive and innovative environment.

Responsibilities
Includes but not limited to
Cloud:
Assistin deploying andmaintainingcloud infrastructure on platforms (AWS and Azure).
Monitorand troubleshoot cloud environments to ensureoptimalperformance and uptime.
Collaborate with the team to implement security best practices for cloud systems.
Assistin automating tasks and workflows using scripting languages and tools.
Document cloud architecture, configurations, and operational procedures.
Network:
Assistin installing, configuring, andmaintainingnetwork hardware and software.
Monitornetwork performance and ensureoptimaluptime and connectivity.
Troubleshoot and resolve network issues, including connectivity, bandwidth, and security concerns.
Support the implementation of network upgrades and improvements.
Document network configurations, procedures, and policies.
Collaborate with team members to ensure the secure operation of the network.
Perform routine network health checks and report findings.
Qualifications
- Currently enrolled as a junior or senior in good academic standing working towards abachelor’s degree inComputer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
Required Skills
Basic understanding of cloud computing concepts,services, andplatforms ornetworking concepts, protocols (TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP), and devices (routers, switches, firewalls).
Familiarity with virtualization, containers, and networking fundamentals or with network monitoring tools and operating systems (e.g., Windows, Linux).
Strong analytical problem-solving, and critical thinkingskills.
Attention to detail and organizational skills.
Proficient in Microsoft Office applications, including Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.
Strong written and verbal communication skills.
Ability to work both individually and in a team environment.
Willingness and eagerness to learn and adapt tonew technologies, tools, and challenges.
Ability to take direction and follow instructions.
Strong time-management skills.
Preferred Skills:
Experience with platforms such as AWS, Google Cloud, Azure, Cisco, Palo Alo, or similar networking technologies.
Knowledge of Infrastructure as Code (IaC) tools like Terraform.
Familiarity with scripting languages.
Understanding of cloud security and compliance principles.
Knowledge of cybersecurity principles and practices.
Unique Requirements
- The intern selected will berequiredto work 29 hoursa week over a specified 12-week duration.
Additional Information
The hourly pay range for this position is $18.00/Hr.
