We are looking for a Batch maker Colors & Flavors interested in starting a SWEET career as part of our Quality Control team at PIM’s Somerset site in New Jersey.
JOB OVERVIEW
Prepare and pre-weigh acids, vitamins, starch & other ingredients for five Moguls plus Fruitroll line for 24/7 operations based on production schedule, which includes creating M3 data tracking / inventory labels for all items. Handle all color & flavor solution returns for each Mogul and Fruitroll line for 24/7 operation, using the M3 data system. Deliver dry ingredients and solutions to their perspective mogul / kitchen staging areas. Mix ingredients and prepare poly glaze for in house consumption on all four moguls.
Qualifications
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Prepare dry ingredient and solutions for Mogul / Kitchen production
Use proper PPE’S according to task at hand
Use M3 data system for inventory and label creation
Report food safety and quality issues to Plant management and SQFP
Follow PIM Brands GMP rules
Monitor fellow employees for adherence to GMP’s
Weigh out ingredients based on formulation
Mix ingredients based on formulation
Label ingredients and solutions with item name, lot number and number of pounds
Inspect and disposition all ingredients returned from the Moguls / Kitchen
Check scales and verify there are in working order daily
Perform daily inventory of ingredients used at the Moguls / Kitchen
Act as a subject matter expert for the batching dept.
Ability to work additional hours as needed
EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE AND TRAINING
High School education or equivalent is strongly preferred, Associate degree is preferred
Manufacturing environment experience and knowledge of batching is preferred
Knowledge of Good Manufacture Practices, HACCP and SQF is a plus
Knowledge of Microsoft Excel, Word and Outlook
High degree of accuracy in using scales and measurement equipment
Organized and detail oriented
Basic math and computer skills are required
Ability to read, speak, and write English is require
High sense of urgency
Team player
Accountable
Bi-lingual (English/Spanish/Creole) language a plus, and strong overall communication skills required.
Strong focus with the courage, drive, and discipline to execute.
