Extrusion Operator ($21-24/hr.+)

Job Description

We are seeking a dedicated Clean Room Operator for our 3rd shift (11pm - 7am). The role involves operating a rubber extrusion machine in a clean, FDA-regulated environment. The pay rate ranges from $21 to $24 per hour.

Responsibilities

• Operate a rubber extrusion machine in a clean room environment.

• Feed silicone and rubber material into the machine.

• Cut products to size based on work instructions.

• Package the product and prepare it for shipment.

• Undergo training for machine changeovers.

• Follow work instructions to prepare the machine for different tubing runs.

• Work in a fast-paced environment and lift up to 50 lbs as needed.

• Perform quality checks and visual inspections on running products.

• Stand at the machine for the entire shift as the machines do not stop running.

Essential Skills

• At least 1 year of experience as an extrusion or injection mold operator.

• Ability to read a tape measure.

• Willingness to work full shifts on Saturdays if needed.

• Ability to follow work instructions to meet production goals.

• Willingness to wear a clean room suit, hair net, and beard net if applicable.

• Capability to lift 40 lbs and stand for the entire shift.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

• Previous experience with injection mold machines and working in sterile clean rooms.

Work Environment

The work environment is extremely clean and temperature-controlled, with air conditioning in the summer and heating in the winter. The facility includes a sterile room maintained at 68 degrees. Employees are provided with lockers for personal belongings and are required to wear a paper gown, similar to medical attire, which is provided weekly. The dress code includes tied-back hair with a hairnet, beard net if applicable, no fake nails, nail polish, makeup, false eyelashes, piercings, or jewelry. No food or drink is allowed in the clean room area. Tennis shoes are acceptable; steel toe boots are not required.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $20.00 - $24.00/hr.
