Job Title: Construction Laborer

Job Description

We are seeking dedicated construction laborers for general laborer duties on new construction roofing projects. The role involves various tasks including debris removal, material handling, and site clean-up.

Responsibilities

  • Remove debris from construction sites.

  • Use shovels and other hand tools effectively.

  • Cut materials and load onto carts.

  • Haul away trash and dump it appropriately.

  • Assist with laying insulation.

  • Attach materials as needed.

  • Clean up materials and tools to maintain an organized work area.

Essential Skills

  • Experience working on a construction job site.

  • Comfortable using basic hand tools such as shovels.

  • Ability to perform manual labor.

  • Experience with power tools.

  • Knowledge of concrete work.

  • Experience in cleaning and roofing tasks.

  • Carpentry skills.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

  • Experience in labor-intensive jobs such as concrete work.

  • Any experience with roofing is a significant advantage.

  • Ability to perform manual labor for 8+ hours a day.

Work Environment

You will be working on new construction job sites, often on low-slope roofs with safety guards in place. Expect to work in various weather conditions, from heat to cold. The schedule is Monday to Thursday, with 10-hour days starting as early as 6:00 am depending on daylight. Steel toe shoes are required and shirts must cover at least 4 inches of the shoulders.

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Nashville, Tennessee.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $20.00 - $20.00/hr.
