Privacy Link Accounts Receivable/Payable Clerk in SMITHFIELD, Utah

Job Type: PrivacyLink is looking for an on-site, permanent part-time, non-benefited Accounts Receivable/Payable Clerk to work approximately 10-15 hours per week (varies according to demand). Schedule is flexible, but must be available during high demand. Hours must be completed between 8 AM to 5 PM, Monday through Friday. Background/credit check required.

Accounts Receivable/Payable Clerk Responsibilities:

• The AR/AP Clerk will provide support to the accounting department, while maintaining compliance with federal, state, and local guidelines and regulations. • Prepares, verifies, records, and posts customer payments/credits/refunds and transactions related to accounts receivable. • Collaborates with the Collections Manager to reconcile accounts receivable on a monthly or as needed basis. • Enters, verifies, and posts vendor invoices and transactions in Microsoft Great Plains accounting program related to accounts payable. • Pays vendor invoices by verifying transaction information, scheduling, preparing disbursements, obtaining authorization of payment, and generating the checks for owner signature. • Ensure that bills are paid in a timely and accurate manner in accordance with company policy. • Collaborates with the Accounting Manager to reconcile accounts payable on a monthly or as needed basis.

Qualifications and Skills:

• Reliably commute or planning to relocate before starting work (Required) • High degree of accuracy and attention to detail • Excellent organizational and time management skills • Able to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines • Excellent written and verbal communication skills • Strong customer service skills • Proficiency with financial software and mathematics • Able to work independently as well as in a team dynamic • Able to operate related office equipment, such as computers, 10-key calculator, and copier • Knowledge and understanding of GAAP

Education & Experience:

• Associate's or Bachelor's degree preferred (Accounting a plus!) • At least two years of related experience required • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite • Experience with Microsoft Dynamics Great Plains strongly preferred
