Communications Specialist

The Communications Specialist plays a crucial role in driving Christensen Farms' communication strategies, enhancing the brand, and acting as a strategic partner across departments. This individual will be enforcing, expanding, and maintaining engagement and connection for Christensen Farms at our Sleepy Eye Office with the opportunity of a hybrid work schedule. This role demands innovative thinking, strong analytical skills, and a proactive approach to collaboration and brand management.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Brand Enhancement:

  • Elevate and maintain Christensen Farms' brand identity across all platforms, ensuring consistency and alignment with the company's values and market position.

  • Specifically enhance the brand by integrating and promoting the 4P's-People, Pigs, Planet, and Prosperity-ensuring that all communication reflects these core tenets and contributes to a holistic brand image.

  • Strategic Departmental Partnership:

  • Serve as a collaborative partner to various departments, helping to integrate their needs into the overall communication strategy, rather than merely executing tasks.

  • Strategy Development and Execution:

  • Develop and implement comprehensive communication strategies that support organizational priorities and long-term goals.

  • Digital Analytics and Metrics:

  • Track engagement and analyze metrics across platforms to guide strategic decisions and future plans.

  • Innovative Content Creation:

  • Produce creative and impactful content that resonates with diverse audiences and supports strategic initiative

  • Event Coordination and Management:

  • Organize and manage events that promote employee engagement and reflect the company's culture and values.

  • Crisis Communication Management:

  • Assist in crafting and executing crisis communication strategies, ensuring readiness and effective response.

  • Continuous Learning and Improvement:

  • Stay informed on industry trends and advancements in communication technologies, applying new ideas to enhance personal skills and departmental outcomes.

  • Communications Platform Channels and Asset Maintenance/Upkeep:

  • Regularly audit and update communication platforms and assets based on situational needs and strategic goals.

    Education:

  • Minimum 2-year degree and/or 5-6+ years' experience in Communications, Marketing, or related field. Or bachelor's degree in communications, Marketing, or related field

    Training and Experience Requirements:

  • Digital Competence:

  • Advanced understanding of digital marketing tools, including AI, to optimize communication effectiveness.

  • Multimedia Skills:

  • Proficient in video production, graphic design, and web content management.

  • Analytical and Strategic Skills:

  • Skilled in using data to shape SMART strategic goals and communication tactics.

  • Interpersonal and Communication Skills:

  • Outstanding written, verbal, and interpersonal skills.

  • Presentation Skills:

  • Strong presentation skills, capable of effectively conveying ideas and strategies to various audiences.

  • Driver's License:

  • Valid Class D driver's license required.

  • Language Proficiency:

  • Bilingual (English and Spanish) capabilities preferred.
