Role reports to: Manager, Skin Health Clinical Research & Claims

Location: Skillman, NJ Kenvue's corporate headquarters is currently located in Skillman NJ , but is scheduled to move to Summit, NJ in or around early 2025.

Travel %: 10%

What you will do

The Senior Scientist is responsible for serving as a member of the Skin Health Clinical Research and Claims team dedicated to the development and implementation of skin measurement and visualization techniques for scientific support.

Responsibilities:
Provide active scientific contributions to cross-functional project teams within the Skin Health therapeutic area.
Be responsible for developing and executing test methods and demos with bio-instruments to illustrate mechanism of action and provide scientific support on product performance.
Develop written protocols, work instructions, and standard operating procedures for equipment utilization and experimental execution.
Oversee equipment inventory and maintenance management.
Utilize scientific analysis principles to facilitate an understanding of product testing and clinical trial data for Skin Health and Hair Care products.
Establishment of new and management of existing data analytic capabilities.
Translate scientific and technical knowledge to scientific support including but not limited to the substantiation of claims.
Participate on cross functional teams for evaluation of new product ideas and project implementation, ensuring timeline adherence and project completion.
Work closely with clinical and pre-clinical research to help develop strategies for protocols and digital methodologies supporting in vitro and clinical studies for new products.
Serve as the Study Director and fulfill the responsibilities for this role on clinical studies
Participate in the development of scientific communications.
Monitor key individual deliverables.
Partner successfully with R&D, data management, safety, regulatory, marketing, and project management functions.
Ensure all activities are conducted in accordance with high ethical/quality standards and all applicable policies and procedures.
Must have the ability to collaborate, manage routine processes, take measured risks, and make decisions to drive project progress are critical components of the role.
Must be able to operate in and leverage resources in a highly networked team environment, and be able to execute against multiple projects with tight timelines.
Must be able to successfully partner with global cross-functional team members.

What we are looking for

Required Qualifications
A minimum of a BS/BA with 6 years of experience OR a minimum of 4 years of industry and/or other relevant work experience with MS, OR PhD, PharmD is required. a minimum of 0-2 years of industry.
Experience working in Consumer products is required.
Must be highly motivated and highly organized as well as possess excellent verbal and written communication skills.
The ability to work in a matrix environment with global cross-functional teams is essential.

Desired Qualifications
Scientific knowledge of skin and hair (biology, physiology) is preferred
Experience with in vitro and ex-vivo skin test methods preferred
Experience with optical and spectroscopic imaging technologies preferred
Experience in data analysis and basic programing preferred
Previous experience in documenting and developing scientific communications preferred
Ability and flexibility to work in a global environment is preferred
This position may require up to 10% annual travel (domestic and international)
