Amazon Web Services (AWS) is seeking an experienced and motivated technologist to join our team as Sr. Solutions Architects - Global Automotive & Manufacturing. In this role, you will be a trusted customer advocate, helping global manufacturing organizations understand and adopt advanced cloud solutions.
As a Sr. Solutions Architect, you will partner with global automotive customers, AWS Sales, and cross-functional teams to craft highly scalable, flexible, and resilient cloud architectures. Your solutions will address customer business problems and drive the adoption of AWS services. Working closely with our Sales team, you will also play a key role in driving revenue growth across a broad set of customers.
The ideal candidate will possess a unique balance of deep technical expertise and strong interpersonal skills. You should have a proven track record in software/technology sales or consulting, with the ability to connect technology to measurable business value. A demonstrated ability to think strategically about products, business, and technical challenges is also critical.
To be successful you'll need to have a:
Passion for educating, training, designing, and building cloud solutions for enterprise customers
Strong understanding of large-scale computing solutions, with experience as a systems/support engineer or in pre-sales
Commitment to continuous learning and skill development to stay at the forefront of cloud technology
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to make work fun and engaging
Track record of strategic thinking and driving measurable business value through technology

Key job responsibilities
Formulate and execute sales strategies to exceed revenue objectives through AWS adoption
Educate customers on the value proposition of AWS and participate in deep architectural discussions
Conduct training sessions to transfer knowledge to customers considering or using AWS
Capture and share best practices among the AWS Solutions Architect community
Author or contribute to customer-facing publications like white-papers
Build strong relationships with senior technical stakeholders to enable them as cloud advocates
Act as a technical liaison between customers, service engineering, and support teams

As a Customer Solutions Manager you will take end-to-end ownership of a diverse range of projects and initiatives, utilizing your communication skills to interface with and influence a broad range of multi disciplinary teams (sales, solutions architecture, support, product, professional services, partners). With a deep understanding of your customer's business vision, culture and processes, you will be your customer's voice within AWS, ensuring that their needs are accurately communicated to AWS leadership, product, and engineering teams. You will evangelize AWS services and influence customers to adopt the right solution at the right time.

Basic Qualifications
10+ years of IT development or implementation/consulting in the software or Internet industries experience
8+ years of specific technology domain areas (e.g. software development, cloud computing, systems engineering, infrastructure, security, networking, data & analytics) experience
3+ years of design, implementation, or consulting in applications and infrastructures experience
Preferred Qualifications
5+ years of infrastructure architecture, database architecture and networking experience
Knowledge of SAP systems (like SAP Business Suite, S/4HANA, SAP Business Warehouse, SAP HANA, SAP Business Objects, etc.) and their architecture and infrastructure needs
Experience working with end user or developer communities
