Applied Materials Materials Project Management in Singapore, Singapore
Responsibilities
Communicate Forecasts requirements to suppliers
Disseminate MRP demand signals and provide updated changes in Build Plan to supplier
Critical part and regional supplier management
Supplier collaboration to ensure delivery commits support production planning and Customer shipments.
Collaborates with engineering team to interpret engineering requirements
Conduct weekly CTB with suppliers to ensure delivery commits support Customers requirements.
Utilizes the preferred supplier selection and assessment process when selecting suppliers
Provide guidance to supplier risk assessment on critical and unique parts
Monitors supplier performance in term of OTD, variances and defects (delivery, quality, cost)
Coordinates activities around source selection, specification creation and price negotiation with appropriate team members
Executes and support commercialization (transition) materials plan
Manages materials change control process supply continuity
Generates and publishes Key Process Indicators
Collaborate with engineering to identify preliminary critical parts, long-lead parts and inspection requirements for transition
Assists in developing supplier and commodity road maps
Utilizes Should Cost analysis on new materials introduction to support customer shipment
Actively mediates and partners with quality and engineering teams to resolve supplier quality issues for assigned product groups
Requirements
Bachelor in Supply Chain or Engineering with minimum 5 years’ experience in a related field
Demonstrates conceptual and practical expertise in own discipline and basic knowledge of related disciplines
Knowledge of best practices and how own area integrates with others and is aware of the competition and the factors that differentiate them in the market
Able to lead small projects with manageable risks and resource requirements
Able to solve complex problems, take a new perspective on existing solutions and exercise judgment based on the analysis of multiple sources of information
Ability to impact a range of customer, operational, project or service activities within own team and other related teams and works within broad guidelines and policies
Explains difficult or sensitive information and works to build consensus
