Your challenge:

An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Manufacturing Engineer to join our Site Manufacturing Engineering Process team in Singapore APAC Team.

You will be managing the Chemical Process Development and Control as well as define manufacturing technology roadmap including technology scouting, strategy, and programming in Chemical processes.

This role will also entail you to apply architecture and system thinking integrating process and equipment and leads and/or executes Manufacturing technology development projects/provides in-depth knowledge for productivity improvement activities linked to Manufacturing processes and equipment.

Furthermore, other responsibilities also include:

  • Implements new technologies and new processes in factories based on industrialization projects

  • Provides in-depth knowledge for productivity improvement activities linked to Manufacturing processes and equipment

  • Collaborate with Site Engineering to initiate and execute major productivity improvement projects linked to architecture, processes and equipment

  • Collaborate with technology development partners (internal & external) to trial and industrialise I4.0 technologies into manufacturing sites

  • Provides in-depth knowledge and expert support to problem solving related to Chemical processes, tools and equipment

  • Manages competences for Manufacturing Engineering

  • Executes the processes with embedded quality into the way of working with adherence to safety, cost regulatory and environmental requirements as well as local laws, Philips General Business principles and other policies.

  • Provide cross-site best-practices and learnings

This role requires:

  • Minimum of 5 years’ experience in Chemical and Materials Engineering (must have a degree in either one)

  • Process Development processes (Professional) and Manufacturing processes & equipment Experience (Expert)

  • LEAN Manufacturing and Industry 4.0 and Design for Six Sigma | DMAIC | DOE

  • Systems Thinking & Architecture (Product, Process and Equipment)

  • Stakeholder management / Project Management

  • Coaching Experience preferred

  • Autonomous, can motivate and takes initiative

  • Strong commercial/business acumen

  • Experience in working with external vendors and delivery of services

  • Experience or interest in working with different cultures/countries

  • An eagerness to learn and ability to adapt to changes
