We’re currently looking for a high caliber professional to join our Digital, Technology & Communications (“DT&C”) team as Digital Relationship Manager (Vice President) based in Singapore.

Our goal is to provide industry leading coverage to companies operating in the ‘new economy’, traditional technology and communications industry. Join the dynamic team in the Digital, Technology & Communications (“DT&C”) as Vice President, Relationship Manager, where you will focus on high-growth clients and prospective clients operating in the segment. This role is aimed towards a seasoned banker with relevant industry experience and requires you to leverage your deep industry knowledge and strong analytical skills to offer customized financial solutions that address the unique needs of our clients in a fast-growing segment. You will play a pivotal role in fostering and expanding client relationships, driving business growth, cross-selling Citi’s suite of products and services, and ensuring our clients navigate the rapidly evolving landscape of technology and telecommunications with confidence and success. Successful candidates integrate in-depth segment knowledge with a solid understanding of industry standards and practices. In addition, the incumbent would provide leadership and serve as a mentor to junior bankers in the team.

In this role, you’re expected to:

  • Actively engage with clients to understand their business needs and objectives.

  • Develop and maintain strong, long-term relationships with key decision-makers in client organizations.

  • Anticipate client needs and proactively propose appropriate banking products and solutions.

  • Stay abreast of industry trends, market developments and regulatory changes in the DT&C segment.

  • Leverage your knowledge to provide relevant insights and guidance to existing and prospective clients, helping them navigate industry challenges and opportunities.

  • Originate transactions by staying connected to the ecosystem of investors, start-ups, industry associations, thought leaders and senior business contacts to expand industry knowledge and deepen Citi Commercial Bank (CCB)'s relationship with these partners.

  • Working closely with senior RMs, product specialists and subject matter experts across the bank to structure customized solutions that meet clients' unique needs.

  • Identify cross-sell opportunities to deepen and increase share of wallet.

  • Drives innovation in the solutions we provide clients and further developing our business where necessary and appropriate.

  • Assess and manage credit risk by conducting thorough financial analysis and due diligence on clients.

  • Ensure compliance with internal policies, regulatory requirements, and industry standards.

  • Maintain a high standard of ethical behavior and professional conduct.

As a successful candidate, you’d ideally have the following skills and exposure:

  • 6-10 years of relevant experience in commercial banking or corporate banking, with a focus on the TMT sector.

  • Sound knowledge of banking and investment products and process as well as a track record of providing sound banking and financial advice and solutions to clients.

  • Demonstrates sound credit skills by being able to structure more complex deals, which can include capital market transactions.

  • Strong understanding of the new economy and traditional TMT industry dynamics, trends, and challenges.

  • Proven track record in client relationship management and business development.

  • Demonstrates intermediate knowledge of credit skills and Early Warning Detection.

  • Demonstrates intermediate understanding of accounting principles, financial modeling, and financial statement analysis.

  • Proven leadership ability with excellent interpersonal skills.

  • Communicates views with clarity and confidence.

  • Maintains contact with key stakeholders to proactively seek input as appropriate.

  • Aggressive and hungry for creating new business opportunities with existing clients and able to demonstrate innovative approaches to meeting clients' needs.

  • Ability to embrace new technology and understand the role digital plays in the experience we deliver for our clients.

  • Positive mindset with "can-do" attitude, willingness to go extra miles for providing sound advice and effective services to clients.

  • Able to anticipate client requests/needs and resolves queries in a timely manner, leveraging internal resources.

  • Must have a sharp business development focus and demonstrative innovative approaches.

  • Demonstrates professionalism by being reliable, actively contributing in meetings, asking questions and challenging ideas.
