Grundfos Advanced Manufacturing Engineering Director CBS Operations in Singapore, Singapore

What is the job about?

To guide the strategic planning and execution of manufacturing technology initiatives aimed at enhancing competitiveness, productivity, and operational efficiency within the Global CBS division. This involves developing and implementing technology roadmaps, investments management for operations, promoting new technology and equipment introduction to support new product introductions, and manufacturing excellence, integrating Industry 4.0 principles, promoting global collaboration and knowledge sharing, and monitoring performance metrics to ensure continuous improvement and stakeholder engagement.

Your main responsibilities

Manufacturing Technology Roadmap and deploy Lean manufacturing:

  • Define and develop the Manufacturing Technologies roadmap, driving competitiveness and robust production technology within core or key technologies of Global CBS.

  • Develop the manufacturing engineering competency of Global CBS.

Investment Management:

  • Define and Deliver short- and long-term investment plans for operations to support the company's business strategy and differentiation in the market.

  • Responsible for managing annual capex of operation pool including ME pool and local pool.

New Product Introduction and Manufacturing Excellence:

  • Support "where to produce" strategies for new products based on Footprint and marketing strategies, ensuring smooth production line launches with high quality, low manufacturing costs, and short lead times.

  • Introduce and develop new manufacturing technologies and processes to support new product introduction and improve productivity and lead times.

  • Define operation strategies for future plants and roadmap in the CBS Division, introducing Digital Manufacturing solutions to enhance productivity in management and day-to-day operations.

  • Ensure manufacturing excellence of manufacturing foundation in plant, such as standard work, TPM Total Productive Maintenance, capacity management, BOM & Routing, line design, etc.

Continuous Improvement and Industry 4.0 Integration and deploy Lean manufacturing:

  • Ensure organizational change by championing the adoption of new technologies and promoting a culture of continuous improvement and digital transformation.

  • Provide guidance and support to plant leaders and teams to ensure seamless integration and adoption of Industry 4.0 principles.

  • Design manufacturing models for different products within CBS, standardize and improve the lean process.

  • Make strong foundation of leanMFGto support overall smart factories in CBS.

Global Collaboration and Knowledge Sharing:

  • Collaborate with the Group AME team to align strategies and initiatives with local requirements and regulations.

  • Foster knowledge sharing and best practice dissemination across global plants to accelerate learning and innovation.

Performance Monitoring and Stakeholder Engagement:

  • Establish KPIs and performance metrics to track the effectiveness of Industry 4.0 initiatives and digitalization efforts.

  • Analyze data and performance trends to identify opportunities for optimization and efficiency gains.

  • Build and maintain good relationships with key stakeholders, including plant leadership, technology partners, and regulatory bodies.

Your background :

We imagine that you have:

  • Bachelor’s degree in industrial engineering or related field; master’s degree preferred.

  • 10+ years of experience in engineering leadership roles, with a focus on industrial automation, manufacturing technology, or related fields.

  • Proven history of effectively developing global engineering teams and delivering transformational change initiatives.

  • In-depth knowledge of Industry 4.0 technologies and their applications in manufacturing environments.

  • Good understanding and application of lean principles and methodologies to deliver operational excellence and continuous improvement.

  • Experience with implementing or participating in lighthouse projects or initiatives, demonstrating the ability to pilot and scale innovative technologies for impactful results.

  • Great project management skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks, allocate resources effectively, and meet deadlines.

  • Effective communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to influence and engage stakeholders at all levels of the organization.

  • Willingness to travel internationally as needed.
