Audit weld operations upon request and make corrections if necessary Test and certify welders Provide continuous improvement for welding operations in the plant. Ability to work cross functionally with other plant departments as required Ability to interact professionally with suppliers and customers is required Ability to communicate clearly both verbally and in written form is required Fill in and weld production parts as needed to make customer orders Ability to assist and coordinate training development plans Basic knowledge of Microsoft office software preferred Ability to work on 2nd or 3rd shift as needed is required Some travel may be required Education and Experience Requirements: The ability to operate Mig and Tig welders Prior experience working as a welder in a fast-paced manufacturing environment is required. Prior experience welding aluminum is required. Machine Operator/Heavy Press experience is a plus. A high school diploma is required. Certified Weld inspector (CWI) or attend a 2 week CWI certification course at Hobart Welding Institute. Candidate must pass end-of-course test Skills in the areas of electrical, robotics, hydraulics, costing, PLC logic, Blue Print Reading, and troubleshooting desired.
